Hi Everyone and welcome to Jaydee's SU stampin space.
You all know that I love my Delightful Decorations stamp set, and have used this set frequently for Christmas cards this year. You can see my DD cards here. However, I really wanted to find a use for them outside of Christmas. Today's card does just that and incorporates the use of my new set Font of You. I used the sketch challenge from Mojo Monday 113 for this card.
Card recipe:
- Night of Navy, Old Olive, Taken with Teal card stock
- Delightful Decorations and Font of You stamp sets
- Night of Navy DSP from the hostess level 1 designer series paper
- Mistletoe ribbon
- Linen thread – died with the ink from my Old Olive marker
- Sentiment from Chic Boutique
- I stamped my delightful decorations bauble and then cut off the bottom to make it flat and cut around the image with my paper snips.
- I used my shimmer paint with a sponge dauber and rubbed over the cut image to give an iridescent luster to the vase for a ceramic look
- I used the masking technique to stamp only the flowers from the stamp in the Font of You set and used my Old Olive and Taken with Teal markers.
- I adhered my vase using stampin dimensionals
I was actually very pleased with the finished card and really liked the color combination! I will definitely be using my DD for vases again!
As always, thanks for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere. Your visits are always appreciated. Have a fabulous day and I hope you get time to do the things you love with those you love the most.
