Hi Everyone and welcome to Jaydee's SU stampin space. Today's card used the stamping411 layout number 126 and the November Fan Club challenge, which was to create a card with texture. This one certainly does that!
Card recipe:
- Old Olive, Sahara Sand, Ruby Red and Chocolate Chip card stock
- Chocolate Chip striped grosgrain ribbon
- I ran the Old Olive matt through my Big Shot with a texturz plate – stampin backgrounds 1
- I ran a piece of Sahara Sand card stock through my Big Shot with the scalloped circle die
- Christmas Jingle scrapping set – two elements – the circular frame and the central sentiment
- French Filigree background stamp. I stamped the image with my versamark and then used clear embossing powder. This creates a very textured background on the image
Then i t was just a matter of building the card and mounting the image. Very quick and very simple. The card has more texture than I normally use, but I enjoyed the challenge of pushing the texture outside of my comfort zone – the whole reason for doing challenges, right? 🙂
I hope you all have a fabulous day and get to spend time doing the things you love – with those you love the most. As for me… as you read this, we will still be crossing the Atlantic and hopefully won't have to have used our sea sickness pills!
As always, thanks for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere. Your visits and your support are much appreciated.
Jaydee

I like the background stamp! Another lovely card as usual. In Jan I’m ordering an entire set of ink pad so I’ll be really busy with stamping.
Another great way to use up all of my scrappin’ set.
