Fresh Freesia for Paper Players #612

Happy Sunday.

It's the fabulous Laurie's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's color week.  Generally, I try to get my design team cards made well ahead of time.  It's obvious with my use of this week's colors that I was thinking high summer as opposed to something like Halloween!  I pulled out a very old set from Altenew called Fresh Freesia.  Here's a sneak peek:

You must have guessed the colors include purple, orange and green 🙂

Here are Laurie's color choices:

I stamped and colored the flower using my Copic Makers and Prismacolor pencils.  I masked off part of the card base and blended some purple ink and then went over it with a stencil from The Stamp Market to help ground the flower.  It really was pretty easy to pull together.

Here's my full card:

I hope you will play along with Laurie's challenge.  We would love to see what you create with these colors.  As always, the design team have some fabulous inspiration for you.

I'll be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift today.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. I’m glad you went with florals this week too Jaydee – the detail on your card is amazing! I had purple freesias in my wedding bouquet and your card totally reminds me of them, I can almost smell their scent! So beautiful – love the split background and subtle stencilling too. Gorgeous!

  2. Beautiful, Jaydee! It is so refreshing to see these gorgeous florals. I love the stenciling over the background. This is such a gorgeous shade of purple. Have a wonderful week!

  3. I think it’s nice to show that these colors don’t *have* to be for a Halloween card (though I do love my Halloween stamps!). Your flowers are lovely, Jaydee! I like the delicate stenciling and shading behind the flower.

  4. GORGEOUS!!!!!!! What a fabulous way to show off the colors this week! I love the stenciling and the beautiful background! So creative! Have a great weekend, My Friend!!

  5. Oh, the freesia bloom is gorgeous, Jaydee! Your coloring and added details bring it to life! The stencil adds just the right bit fo contrast. I love this one!
