Hi Everyone.
Happy Wednesday. Oh….. I am SO pleased that we are half-way through this week and I can't wait for the weekend!
One of the challenges I created a card for this week is Sketch Saturday – I love this sketch
A couple of weeks ago I purchased a digital image that suits me to a t! I have a bestie who knows that I love good chocolate, so I made this card for her. I had the most amazing fun coloring it and was very happy with the way it turned out.
Here's my card:
I used a basketweave embossing folder to add interest behind the focal point and added a sparkling heart as the element in the upper right hand corner. Once I had colored the focal image, I used my blue and grey Copic markers to fill out the rest of the tag. Blue for the top and grey underneath the chick and chocolates.
Now.. I need to remember where I got this awesomely rich red card stock from… it's not from my normal stock, so I think it must have come in a Simon Says Stamp card kit.
On a personal note:
As I said yesterday, Spring disappeared …. and still hasn't come back! But.. at least we haven't had snow today… although the cold winds are certainly sticking around.
Lou said that he heard the Sandhill Cranes calling as they flew over our house this morning. I didn't hear them… I wish I had. I so love to see them return every year. Hopefully they will visit our wetland and I can get some photos for you.
In the meantime, how about a shot of this rebellied woodpecker? I managed to capture him whilst we had some sunshine.
He's not as noisy – or as visible as the Downy…. but I still love to catch sight of him.
And… just for Jeanne… a Bailey photo. Silly cat… .I was in the bedroom and could hear him purring (he has a very loud purr) and I found him in the bathroom, curled up in Lou's sink – just purring and purring with his eyes half-closed. Nutter!
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Such a cute card and great little sentiment.
Love the card. Chocolate is a ladies best friend!!
The picture of Bailey is a hoot. They do make themselves at home anywhere don’t they!!!! Always enjoy the pictures of the wildlife in MN. I do miss living there.
Love your card…that EF is such fun! And I love your kitty picture….I have a similar one of my Pumpkin in the bathroom sink too.
Super cute this week! Love that darling image. Thanks for joining in the fun with us over on the Sketch Saturday blog this week.
