Happy Thursday.
We have another great challenge for you across at Time Out this week. This week we have an inspiration photo taken by our very own talented designer Carol. It’s a fitting photo for this time of year, too!
For my card I brought out the Good Life stamp set from Gina K that I won as part of my prize package for winning a Time Out challenge last year! I paired it with a piece of cardstock that I have had in my stash for a long time, but it fit the inspiration photo perfectly!
Here’s a sneak peek:

Ah, flip flops, a cool drink and an umbrella – what more could you want?!
Here’s our inspiration photo:

As you can see, our challenge this week is sponsored by the fabulous team at Lawn Fawn. They are offering a $25 store credit for our challenge winner.
I began my card inspiration with the bright pink beach towel. I pulled out a piece of patterned paper from my stash and adhered that to a white base. It was a little brighter than I wanted, so I added a layer of vellum on top. I then looked around at the photo and saw the drink, so I knew I had to include that image in my card. I didn’t see a pair of flip flops, but with that fabulous manicure and bright pink towel, I just thought there had to be some pink flip flops somewhere! The blue umbrella was inspired by the color of the sky through the sun dome.
Here’s my card:

I hope you will join us this week. We would love to see what inspires you from Carol’s photo. Don’t forget we have a $25 store credit from Lawn Fawn and the opportunity to join us as a GD in an upcoming challenge for the winner.
I hope you will check out the other design team inspiration cards, they are fabulous! I’ll be back tomorrow with another card.
In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Card recipe:

Jaydee, I love how you looked at the photo and made this inspired and very pretty card!!! You really captured the feel of the photo. The vellum over the pink is genius and gives such a soft look. The postage also made me smile as I am a big fan of the postage craze. What a fun and happy card!
What a fabulous card Jaydee! Love the background and the little vignettes which capture the essence of Carol’s photo perfectly! Hugs, Kate!
Wow, I love how you took beauty and made it your own beauty! You used great images and pulled pretty colors out too — it’s a wonderful card.
I love this card, Jaydee! Such a great take, and yes, you have the perfect trifecta here. What more does a girl need?! Love that swirled background. It is the perfect stage for those summer filled images! Great take on Carol’s photo!
You’ve got all the ingredients for a lovely day at the pool/lake/ocean!
You look all set for some summer fun out near some water Jaydee! So much impact from these little images and the beautiful pink background! Love it! I hope you have a good week! 🙂
You took all the different elements and put them together in a fun and colorful card, Jaydee. The vellum gives a soft feel to the background and the postage stamps give attention to each summer image.
