Hi Everyone. Happy Wednesday!
very quick post for you tonight…. one photo and a quick card. I've just finished work. I was on conference calls for 11.5 hours. yep! My ear is ringing and I am all talked out :-) Luckily, my fingers are still functioning enough to update my blog.
No-one appreciates SU boxes more than I….. except….. Bailey!
Happiness is the day when a new box arrives…. not only does he lurvvvv playing with the brown paper, but….. the empty box makes a wonderful sleeping place!
That look…."don't disturb me mother!!!!!) Such a big cat, a small box, but it's amazing how a cat will curl up enough to make it work!
You might remember that I created this card for the troops…. well, I used the same set to create this card…. it's a fabulous image to color, btw! and, I couldn't resist pairing it with the fabulous Indigo Island card stock, the Fancy Fan letterpress plate, and the border punch.
I can't wait to pair this with an "I miss you" sentiment, or "you are how old". Question for you… what sentiment would you pair this image with? I am really looking for new sentiments that I could use with this image and would appreciate your input. Just leave me a comment and share your thoughts, we would all love to hear them.
In fact, to sweeten the deal… why don't I offer up a goodie from convention. Yes! I will do that. Leave your thoughts on the sentiment you think works well with the image on this card – or this one either existing or one you made up, and I will draw a name to receive a goodie from SU convention.
I think this should be great fun. I hope you will play along. I can't wait to read what you all come up with.
Have a wonderful Thursday and hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift.
Jaydee

Oh, this image makes me grin! What an expression–hee hee! I’m afraid I’m not clever enough to come up with anything to go with it, but I look forward to everyone else’s! :o) Although, he does sort of remind me of Steve Urkle and his “Did *I* do that?!?”
I like the way the embossing folder mimics the feel of fish scales. It works beautifully with this silly fishy and his funny face.
My boys haven’t experienced the joy of a SU! box yet. I’m sure they’ll be in raptures one one finally arrives–as will I. ;o)
Hi Lou!
Hugs to all! :o)
He’s clearly saying, “If at first you do succeed, try not to look astonished” (Full of Life set)! I don’t know whether or not that would be a useful saying for the troops, but you could also use, “What is the Hokey Pokey really is what it’s ALL about” (Smarty Pants set) because Fishy really does look like he’s doing the Hokey Pokey! What a fun card and idea!
I think you could put on the card, What’s that you say? I am the only fish for you? On the other card…I am star-ry eyed over you!
I really like both of these cards. So cute!!!!
Love the card and it is really cute!
Casper (cat) loves to get in the boxes too and play.
As for the saying on the card . . .
“A Hook Will Connect Us”
or
“Hooked on You”
or
“Wish Big” (Word Play Stamp Set)
or
Z-ZIP! “Wish I had done that to my lips” (Occasions Alphabet Stamp set)
Thanks for the little push to scan the new Idea book again . . . love playing along.
Thanks for sharing the card with us.
Have a great day!
Can’t think of anything better than “I’m yours hook line and sinker”. Gorgeous card.
I love this set and both cards. I might say, OH NO, YOU WHAT!!! for the fishy or YOUR HOW OLD! Happy B’day to another year. My kitties also love the boxes, haven’t dared give them the brown paper inside, what a mess they would make. Have a nice day.
What a fun card. Bailey looks very comfy. Think he enjoys the deliveries as much as you do!
Ok, for this one you could say:
“Who me?”
“Don’t leave me dangling… then on the inside “Will you be mine?”
“Eek, I missed your birthday”
“Out of all the fish in the sea, I choose you!”
For the starfish one, you could say:
“Happy 5th Birthday” since 5 points
“You’re a star in my eyes” or “You’ll always be a star to me” or You’re a Superstar!”
“You make me smile”
“Today you will shine”
That’s all I can think of for now.
Have a great day!
That facial expression from the fish doesn’t need any sentiment, really.
It says it all:
OK, I am caught red handed
Are you sure???
Try me…
Lovely card and what a gorgeous ball of fur. We would love to have a little cat, but our youngest is such a severe asthmatic we dont dare have anything that could flare it up. We grew up with cats and I really miss having one around!
I dont know that fish looks mighty sick or frightened to me.
I keep thinking when I see him ” I’m so blue….. without you!! lol cheesey I know.
And the starfish we he is just a gorgeous star, not much improvement there!!!!
Anyway, gorgeous cards,
Take care,
Cath
Ok, thought of a couple more.
For the star one:
“A Star is Born”
“For the star of the play (musical, game, etc)”
For the fish:
You could use it to send out with recipe or include on a recipe calendar and say something like: “Gulp, did you say tuna (fish, salmon, etc)”
“I’m hooked on you”
I’m lost without you!
How was school?
Bailey looks so content….I got another one,
Cat got your tongue?
