Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday. I hope you are all having a great day.
Tonight's card showcases Snow Much Fun and, of course, I had to pair it with Frostwood Lodge. I really am in love with this DSP – and this set. Sometimes, you can look at a card and it's only when you see the photograph that you think…. what on earth did you do there? Well, this is one of those times. 🙂
I used my tag layout again – loving this layout – but at the last minute decided to add a vertical ribbon instead of my usual bow. Mmm… that's where the problem came in. It now looks as though the snowman as a ribbon coming out of his top hat! Think I am going to have to re do this one….. but it has some very cute elements, so wanted to share it with you.
Isn't he just the cutest? I colored him with my Copic markers and then applied Crystal Effects to his top hat and wellington boots to give that shiny feel. It's a little hard to pick up in this picture, but it looks cool IRL. I then took my Basic Rhinestones (what a deal these are) and colored them using my copics to match the blue in the DSP. They make fabulous buttons.
Of course, I had to pull out my new Dazzling Details and apply a little strategic dazzle. I also stamped the snowball and snowmen twice, once onto the tag and then again onto scrap card stock. I cut around both of the focal images and mounted them onto the original stamped image using Stampin' Dimensionals. I do like the addition of the sparkly buttons, the three rhinestones in the bottom corner, the Crystal Effects on the top hat and wellies… but really don't like how I positioned the tag with the ribbon! I also think the tag should have either been straight – or tilted the other way. On another positive note….. love this sheet of DSP. Doesn't it look like winter flannel pajamas???!!

On a personal note:
Today was another glorious day with low humidity and reasonable temperatures. So… loving the weather. For those of you who have been kind enough to ask….My leg is progressing – the color is totally back to normal, no bruising at all. It is still very stiff and I cannot put any weight on it, or do squats or lunges. It's also tough either walking up hill or down hill and does tend to swell easily. However, I still have another 6 weeks to go before we need to relook at it and see if anything needs to be fixed. I'm hoping that over the next 6 weeks it continues to heal and I will be starting gentle exercise tomorrow to try to help it along.
We met with the plumber today to make sure that he could fit our new toilet and bath into the master bath. Luckily the answer is YES… so we are very happy about that. Our next meeting is with the electrician and the builder. By Friday we should have everything locked down and then I can build a project plan of how all of this will roll out over the next few months.
Warm hugs and prayers tonight for those who need a lift.
Have a wonderful Wednesday
Jaydee

I’m LOVING this DSP and will have to add it to my wishlist. :o) I hadn’t noticed the ribbon out of the top hat until you mentioned it. Hee hee! It reminds me of one of my wedding photos. The photographer was having us redo “the kiss” and a family member was snapping photos as well–of at an angle. When we got the family member’s photos, we saw there was a candle off behind B’s head and it looked as if he had flames coming out the top of his head! It was too funny! :o)
But, back to the card. :o) I love the little extra touches and embellishments you add to your cards. The buttons, the CE, the rhinestones, the Dazzling Details. It makes a lovely card extra special. :o)
I’m SO excited about your reno project! I’m DYING to see before and afters!! :o)
I’m also glad to hear your leg is no longer Technicolor. Whew. I’m hoping you’ll be able to get by with just some PT and no surgery.
Big hugs!
P.S. Hi Lou! :o)
Super cute! I love that layout.
I didn’t notice the ribbon coming out of the snowman’s hat either until I read your comments!
Oh Jaydee…he is the cutest alright! Love the new DSP too! Glad to hear your leg is improving…take it easy my friend.
He certainly is cute, BUT oh you are making me chilly! : ) Summer has gone so fast and I want to hang on to it.
Glad to hear that your leg is some what better for you.
Oh that is great news about your bathroom
Thanks for sharing your *chilly* card with us : )
Have a great day!
I am loving this DSP. I really like this layout and stamp set. Hard to believe Christmas is so close. I am looking forward to some cooler weather although summer has not been tho bad.
Glad to hear your leg is better.
That snowman and his bird friends are the cutest! The DSP reminds me of flannel sheets! Glad to hear that your leg is improving. I hope the exercises help it so you can avoid surgery.
Have to admit I’m always in love with plaid paper, so this new dsp look like one for me. Love how it coordinates with Mr Snowman’s scarf. Loving the chilly card for today. Maybe it’s brining some of this beautiful breeze we’re having here today. Now this is summer to me A nice breeze & 80 is just right. And actually I can even handle 70’s if it’s nice & sunny. Glad to hear your leg is doing better. Light exercise sounds like a good idea. Just take it easy & don’t overdo it. Remember to really stretch well!
There’s just something about a snowman that makes a person happy….and this is giving me a smile all over my face! So cute with that fantastic DP. Wonderful card for the holidays!
