Happy Flowers for Moxie Fab World

Hi Everyone.

Quick post for you tonight!

I got some quality time in my stamping space today and managed to catch up with a few challenges.

I saw this fabulous inspiration photo that Cath chose for Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World.   The minute I saw it, I knew exactly what I was going to do.

Isn't that adorable?  I just love the detailed stitching, the buttons and the predominance of blue and green, with just a little hint of pink/red.

I pulled out my Marina Mist card stock and some Patterns Pack DSP.  Cut out a tag with my Big Shot.  Searched my buttons boxes for a couple of suitable buttons and I was ready to go.

Here's my card:

I hope you can see the inspiration photo in the finished card.   I even managed to find a couple of buttons that fit within the scalloped outline of the stamped flowers!  I used the same buttons, but turned one of each color over.  This helped go give more variety and interest.  Of course,  I had to use the polka dot Patterns Pack DSP, because it echoed the polka dots on the sentiment!  I finished off my card with a little Midnight Muse ribbon tied with white baker's twine.

On a personal note

This is for Pam C, who was looking for more photos of the cats….I had to share a photo of Charlie.  He really has made the back of the comfy couch in the great room his own space.  He sits there all curled up when we watch TV.  Think he's comfortable?

Some of my eagle-eyed followers will notice that the henna red curtains have gone and have been replaced by the blue-smoke ones for summer.   I love the red ones in winter, they provide a wonderful pop of warm color and help to frame the window.  In spring and summer, I prefer to go with a lighter shade so that the window is still framed, but the view is what you see. 🙂

Don't forget… SU has free shipping through tomorrow.  I took advantage of that today and ordered some of the retiring card stock.  I ordered Lucky Limeade.  (I so wish they had replaced Old Olive with Lucky Limeade.)  I also ordered some Baja Breeze.  It's not a color I use often, but I do like it, as it is a much softer color than Marina Mist.

As always, warm hugs and prayers to those of you who need a little lift tonight.   I'll be back tomorrow with another card.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. Love it!!! Thanks so much, he looks so relaxed. Hope he doesn’t have to get up in a hurry, he’ll fall off. Love the card too, will be casing it for sure. Have your week is better than last week. Take care, Pammy

  2. What a sweet card, Jaydee. :o) What an even sweeter puddy on the back of the couch. :o)
I DID notice you had removed the red curtains! I don’t blame you one bit for not wanting to distract from that stunning view of yours.
Thanks for the reminder about the free shipping–I need to hop on it! I’m bummed about the Baja Breeze–it’s such a soft color. And, who knows, maybe they’ll replace Old Olive with Lucky Limeade on the next color refresh. :o)
    Hugs!
P.S. Hi Lou! How have you been? :o)

  3. I can definitely see the inspiration of the card to the pic. Love it . Love blue and green together and love the shape of that tag. Maybe I’m going to have to buy that tag die.
    Very cute.
