Happy Wednesday.
I have a quick and simple card for you today and it’s one that features the very pretty paper from the Irresistible Blooms suite. The sketch across at Sunday Stamps seemed perfect for showcasing some gorgeous DSP.
And here’s the sketch across at Sunday Stamps:
This card came together really quickly. All I did was cut a piece of DSP to 5.5 inches by 4.25 and then run it through my die-cut machine with one of my rectangle dies. That particular die takes just enough off to leave a small border. I then took my smaller rectangle die and die-cut the middle of that piece of DSP. I adhered the larger piece of DSP to a white card base. I then put several layers of cardstock scraps behind the middle piece as I wanted it to pop from the base. I needed to push the pattern back a little, so I used a piece of vellum and stamped the sentiment directly on to it. I added little bits of glue behind the wording to help adhere it to the flowered piece.
Here’s my card:

Such prettty DSP!
I’ll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

So gorgeous, Jaydee – simple but oh-so-elegant in the details! That vellum layer is amazing, and love the time you took for the stitched dies – it adds so much! Thanks so much for playing at Sunday Stamps!
Beautiful DSP!! Great take on our “Be Bold” sketch over at Sunday Stamps. That “Kindest Expressions” stamp sentiment is perfect for keeping your sentiment central. I love that added piece of vellum…classy!! Thanks for playing long with our sketch challenge!!

Love this Jaydee! Using the vellum to soften the central panel was a genius move – it is so subtle yet really effective.
I don’t blame you for wanting to showcase that beautiful dsp, Jaydee, it is lovey and such a pretty shade of pink! I agree with Joanne, the vellum was a great way to subtly soften the print and it allows the sentiment to be easily read. Love it! So glad you played along with us at Sunday Stamps!
Thanks, Stef. It really is such pretty DSP
