Lantern Landscapes Great Catch for Cupcake Inspirations 620

Happy Tuesday.

I saw a theme across at Cupcake Inspirations and knew exactly which set I was going to bring out to play along.  It was the perfect opportunity for me to use a set that I got as part of the Pinkfresh Studios Create and Connect Masculine card class.  The set is called Lantern Landscapes and comes with three different "scapes" one of which is fish related and is called Great Catch.

I gotta tell ya, I'm not much into cupcakes, but the cupcake in this photo is just too adorable!  To make my card I used the Great catch stencils and matching die.  I just love the detail that the die creates on the fish – such a great touch.  I then used the lantern die and some old Altenew woodgrain cardstock to create the lantern.
 
For the background I used the Waffle Flower Wave Texture die as I wanted to add some texture to the background.  All that was left was to stamp and die-cut a sentiment and I used a set called Coastal Greetings from Waffle Flower.

I just love how different this set is and it is just fabulous for masculine cards.  I am not sure if PFS will be releasing it into general release, but I think it's one set that will stay in my stash for a while!

I'll be back tomorrow with another card.  In the meantime, I thought I would share a photo of the loveable 20# lump that is Chilli our Maine Coon.  It's hard to believe that he is not yet fully grown.  I was sitting in the dinette working on my macbook when I came to play with a silly mylar flower.  Once he had messed up the cover on the bench and moved a couple of cushions around, he decided he had played enough, but wanted to make sure no other cat was able to play.  So he just reached out and stuck his big fat paw on top of the flower.  Game over!  And, I mean, that face says it all 🙂

If you are wondering why the photomark is right over his ear, it's because there are so many charlatans who take photos of Maine Coons – and other breeds of cat – and use them in fake websites, so I thought placing the mark over his ear might make it harder!

  2. Hey Jeanne…. you know… he’s a bit of a big girls blouse and runs away when someone new comes through the door BUT once he hears food, he’ll come to anyone :-). He is a cuddle bug though and really warm:-)
