Hi Everyone.
So, I did go back into my craft room and create another card using this sketch! If you didn't catch my first attempt, you can find it here.
I went a very different route with this card and when I had created it – decided it might need another sentiment…. but I can't make up my mind which I prefer. With or without the white sentiment strip? What do you think? This card is for a pair of our besties in the UK who love cafe culture and I thought this would be perfect to let them know we miss them.
I love the little chalkboard that comes with this old FunStampersJourney set called Le Cafe I've had this set for years and will never get rid of it! I stamped the image onto Neenah Solar White #110 and used my Zig realbrush markers to color the chalkboard. I wanted the chalk area to look as though it had been erased over and over again – just like it used to look when I was at school 🙂
I fussy cut it and added it over a strip of coffee bean DSP. I stamped the coffee pot directly onto the card base and colored it and then stamped the croissant onto a spare piece of card stock, colored it and used a couple of foam dots to pop it off the base. The whole base was given a layer of fun foam and popped off the card base.
Here's my card, first without the sentiment:
And then, here's the version with the additional sentiment:
Not only did I make two cards for Freshly Made, but I also made a couple of other cards for challenges, so I will be back tomorrow with another card for you…. this time featuring one of my new favorite SU sets – Good Morning Magnolia. 🙂
In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift…
Hugs
Jaydee
