Hi Everyone.
Happy Sunday – again :-) This is my second post for today. I wanted to share a card I made using the FreshlyMadeSketches sketch:
Instead of the splotch I used my Paper Rose Studio stencil to create sunrays using some Hero Arts Butter Bar ink. I then stamped a unicorn from a set that I have had for a couple of years – it came free in a card making magazine that Lou brough back from one of his overseas trips. That set was in a magazine from England, purchased at an airport in Australia and is now used in the mid-west! It has quite a travel history for a little stamp set. It is one of those sets that I will always keep as it has some of the cutest images – mind you, I have never inked up this particular image.
So, I stamped the little unicorn and then colored him with my pencils – and added some glimmer and shine to his hooves and his wings. Hooves are rainbow colored to match his mane and tail! Here's a closeup:
Thanks, Pammie I am still loving these glitter pens! I die-cut the focal layer using my stitched rectangles and mounted it onto a Neenah Solar White #100 base. I fussy cut the unicorn and popped her up, added the sentiment and the card was finished.
This.. well, it just makes me smile! I am hoping it will brighten the day of a child for SendASmile4Kids! Mind you, I think we could all do with a little magic in our lives right now.
I'll be back tomorrow with another card and a couple of nature pics! Yes, I have managed to fix my camera and even found a couple of willing "posers" to photograph! In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Oh yes!! We need some magic . . . dreams come true with unicorns! Lovely card. Did you use a roller sponge for the sun rays?? Wish you the enough of everything. No Paper Players today???
Sorry! Clicked on Paper Players line . . . usually I receive it on Monday, yesterday (Sunday) I did not receive it.
Hi Marina
I used a makeup brush to create the blended background. They are pretty identical to the magical brushes you can buy for a lot more money at some stamping supply stores. I think I got these ones on Amazon for less than $20 for 6 different sizes. I love the effect they give, but they do take a little getting used to.
Hopefully you should have gotten my Paper Players update – I think there would have been one notice with two links as I posted two different times yesterday.

Super-cute image and using a sunburst is such a clever take on the sketch! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
