Hi Everyone.
It's been a while since I have been able to do a Tuesday Trigger. I saw this amazing photograph across at moxiefabworld and actually created three cards. I just couldn't make up my mind which one I preferred.
Here's the trigger pic
I was struck by several things:
- The pop of pink in the flowers (masterful!)
- The flowery background with the silver mirror on top of it
- The white cover with its crisp, clean lines
- The tufting on the headboard
- Although I loved the color of the blue, I didn't have one that quite matched – so went for a Marina Mist instead. It's a little more muted, but I think works with the silver embossing powder
Here's my card
I know the embossing powder on the medallion stamp looks pink….. but I PROMISE IT'S SILVER! Something really wrong with the lighting when I took this pic.
Here's what I did:
- I stamped the Bella Toile background in Marina Mist
- I then stamped the Medallion off the page with Versamark and embossed it with silver embossing powder
- I made the card base Silver Metallic card stock and framed the Marina Mist in Whisper White.
- I inked up the Frame and flower from the Just Believe set with my markers. I then went in and hand colored the frame in Marina Mist
- Using my stamp-a-majig, I placed the sentiment and stamped it in Island Indigo
- A little Marina Mist ribbon and two silver brads were my finishing touches. I loved the fact that the silver pearls mimic the mirror on the wall of the inspiration photograph.
- I also thought that the debossed circles in the mediallion stamp echoed the tufting on the headboard.
So, what do you think? Can you see the inspiration in my take on the challenge?
On a personal note:
The garden is really starting to come in to its own. I took this picture about three weeks ago. Wait… let me show you the before pic first!
This was the pic taken on May 1
Now… here's the same part of the garden – the photograph was taken at the end of May
What an amazing difference a couple of weeks, some sun and a little humidity makes! Now, my fairy garden looks like the normal little grotto that I love!
Prayers tonight for those who need a lift or a warm hug.
As always, thank you for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere. You know your visits – and your comments – are greatly appreciated.
Hugs
Jaydee

Love that room!
Great card, good take on the inspiration of the room…I was drawn to the silver of the mirror, not the pink of the flowers, it just goes to show how we are all different.
Your garden looks lovely and inviting!!
Susan 🙂
The card is lovely . . . don’t care much for the room. Do like the mirror on the wall. Garden is looking great.
