More Merry Message Snowflake for Paper Players # 164

 Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday.

It's the fabulous Sandy's turn to host this week and she has a sketch challenge for us at the Paper Players.

I had to think about about the sketch for a while as I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the circle in the middle of the card.

I finally had a brain wave.   It's coming up to Christmas and a snowflake was perfect, especially a they are saying we could have snow in the next couple of weeks here!

I decided to making a blingy snowflake with the Silver Glimmer Paper and used my snowflakes die to cut out a large snowflake, which I paired it with some Winter Frost DSP.

Here's my take on the challenge:

Pp164a (1 of 1)-2

As the sketch called for two different elements in the middle, I used some Core'dinations Pool Party card stock and ran a piece through a snowflake embossing folder and used my sanding block to take off some of the color and used a blank piece for the other side.  I stamped the sentiment from More Merry Messages directly onto the DSP.

We hope that you will join us at the Paper Players this week and don't forget to check out the fabulous inspirations from the Design Team:

On a personal note:

One photo I wanted to share with you from Bar Harbor.   Lou and I were walking around on we came across a scrapbooking store, just a little outside of the main part of town.

I know it's pretty hard to see……. but, that sign on the right hand side…. it says "drive-thru".  My first ever drive through scrapbooking store!    AWESOME!

As always, thank you for stopping by my neck of the stamping blogosphere.   Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. I just LOOOOOVE that silver glimmer paper. :happy sigh: :o) And, I loooooove this card! Pool Party (I’m so so happy they kept it!) and silver together are so wonderful. :o)
A drive through scrapping store? That could be VERY dangerous. Or, maybe not. It might be easier to just get what you came for if you’re not distracted by all the other wonderful items. Hm. They may be on to something there. ;o)
    Hugs!
    P.S. Howdy, Lou! :o)

  2. Stunning card Jaydee! I like the idea of the coredinations paper embossed on half and plain on the other and your placement of the sentiment to make your eyes see it all. This is lovely.
Rach is right about the drive thru. Maybe they are trying to beat Amazon’s quick delivery this way? lol. I think I would be in trouble if I lived in Bar Harbor.

  3. So serene and lovely, Jaydee! Pool Party and silver are perfect for each other and I never tire of that big beautiful snowflake! Gorgeous card, my friend!

  4. I just love the softness of your card, Jaydee! The embossed background is a beautiful touch. 🙂 I’m loving the drive-thru scrapbooking store. Haha! Talk about convenience! Haha!
