Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday.
I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend.
Lou and I had such fun reading all of your comments and guesses on the desk. So…. for those of you that chose Desk # 2 on my last post…. .You can all pat yourself on the back as Desk #2 it is! The fact that he has to wait until the middle of July for it is another story!
I put all the names of those of you who guessed correctly into a random number generator. The winner of the brand new SU card holder is
EVIE
Congratulations, Evie. Please send me your physical address via email and I will get your blog candy cache posted off to you!
Now… how about another little blog candy? What's up for offer this time? Well… how about a brand new set of Stampin' Up! Framelits – Hearts. You can find details of the framelits right here.
To earn a chance of winning the Framelits, all you need to do is correctly guess which dining table we are buying. Once again, three choices. All you have to do is leave a message on this post with your guess – and you can tell us why, again, if you would like! All correct answers will be put into a random generator and a winner chosen.
Which of these dining room tables will grace our brand new dining room?
Dining Room Table #1:
Dining Room Table # 2
Dining Room Table # 3
I can't tell you how exciting it is. We have just a couple more days before we close. The end is really in sight. We have spent the whole weekend cleaning out the remaining cupboards, walk-in closet, packing glasses and other fragile goods, almost everything in the kitchen is packed. Oh… and …. I had to clean out THOSE kitchen drawers. You know the ones… the ones that seem to be the catch all for everything….. the ones that you just toss something into, close it quickly, in the hope that nothing escapes! There were only a couple of them… and they did contain important things like pens (which I swear propagated themselves whilst they were in there – rather like coathangers seem to do in closets!) and stamps and shopping note pads.. regardless of how essential that drawer is, it still seems to accumulate stuff that it shouldn't! Do any of you have drawers like that? Please tell me I am not the only one!
I'm taking a break from packing and cleaning and going to have dinner with Brenda, Cherie and Bethany. I can't wait! Lou… well, he gets to stay behind and pull up carpet and finish packing his wardrobe!
We also went shopping today for a few last minute things needed to stage the house – like fresh, soft, white towels for the bathrooms, new mats for the front and backdoors… that sort of stuff.
We got home and found Mr and Mrs Aflac fast asleep on our deck!!!! You know, Minnesota is the home of 10,000 lakes and these two ducks have to sleep on our deck! They visit us just about every day, but generally stay near the bird baths. We have no idea what made them decide to come and park themselves on the deck. I did take a photo for you, but it is going to have to wait as my equipment for uploading photos to my PC is packed!
It's been wonderful the last couple of days to have the doors open and hear the arrival of spring and the birds that travel north for summer. In the last few days I have heard the cat bird and the wren. The wren is such a welcome sound and he has been very busy looking for goodies with which to fill his nest. Of course, he had to fill a couple of them, because he isn't quite sure which one his mate is going to want to use!
Well, I am off to pack some more dishes, but I did want to pop in and say thank you to all of you who have been visiting and playing along with the blog candy games. We really do appreciate it and reading your comments is a wonderful break for both of us!
Warm hugs and wishes for all of you who need a little lift tonight. AnnMarie, I hope your surgery went well.
Have a wonderful Monday everyone
Hugs
Jaydee

Wow…it’s been a whole year since I told you about the cat bird and the wren of my youth. How did that happen?
Those tables are so unique. I can hardly wait to see the finished room. My guess is #2. I’m sure I’m right…oops, shouldn’t have said that.
Oh I love the clean lines of those tables! They’re all three fabulous and any of them would look marvelous in that silvery dining room. :o)
Junk drawers you say? Oh, we don’t have *one*. Oh no. We have *FOUR*!! There’s the catchall, Mom’s drawer, the girls’ drawer and Dad’s drawer. Each contains little bits of fluff and clutter that have no home other than being tucked into those spaces. There are tools in B’s, toys in the girlies’, and mine has the stamps, tape, pens, etc.
When we lived in our old house, we had TWO kitchen drawers. TWO!! There were no junk drawers in that house. I couldn’t spare the space. We had a junk basket instead. We had a junk drawer at both my mom’s and dad’s houses when I was a kid. I thought they were something *everyone* had. You mean they’re not?!? ;oP
Good luck with those last minute odds and ends and finishing touches. It’s the nitty gritty that’s the worst. I hope your dinner out was divine and that you came home to find Lou all packed. :o)
Hugs!
P.S. You *did* get it packed, didn’t you, Lou? :oP
From what I have read about you and Lou, I say it is number #2. I too have many junk draws. My son-in-law teases me about them.
I definitely think Dining Table #2 would fit in your beautiful new home the best. Loving the little snippets, and updates 🙂
Jaydee, I think table # 2 would look best in your dinning room. I really appreciate you sharing this great adventure with us.
I am guessing Table # 3.
Table #2 is my guess. Junk drawers? Oh yeah. I have one at work too.
Is it two more sleeps before you move in? How exciting!!
Hmmm, this one is a little bit harder. I will guess table #2 Jaydee. (#3 was in the mix) Which ever you and Lou decided will look lovely!
Down to the wire now. It’s almost here and I’m so excited for you both! I’ll bet you are bursting at the seems right now, as well you should be. Pulling up carpet is a big job. Hope Lou was able to get that done. Looking forward to seeing your new home very soon!
Mu guess is #3. The chairs you picked seem to go well with #3, but all look great. Finish packing, then sit back and enjoy the birds, your deck, and all the flowers coming up before taking a new adventure in the new home.
I’m going to go with dining table #2. Think it would look nice with your chairs.
Junk drawer? How about 3 junk drawers in the kitchen alone? Where are you supposed to put all that stuff anyway? Wish I had a good answer.
We have a couple pairs of ducks that come to see us each day. My girls kept chasing one of the couples that I’ve named Curly & Beatrice away today. Poor things were just trying to get a bit of food that I’d thrown out. We also have a bachelor group that stops in. So much fun to watch.
I will say 2–but still thinking of the Desk Lou picked–I’m almost certain 3 will be the one–hmmm, Nope sticking with 3.
Opps, noticed a typo–Sticking with 2!! sorry
I don’t know why, but I’m guessing #1.
love them all but my favorite is #3
I also live in Minnesota and love the ducks, geese and of course, the Loon’s!
My guess for the table is #2.
table #2 is a gorgeous piece!
Hmm, is this a trick question??? Would “none” be one of the possible answers? Forgive me. I tend to think of a more “traditional” dinning table. But that’s not usually the case now a way. So out of these 3, I would say #2.
I’m guessing table 1. all very unique.
Drawers? Aren’t ALL drawers like that? YOu mean you are only supposed to have one or two like that? RATS!
I am guessing Table # 3 since it is so unique & has the clean lines. Can’t wait to get a tour of your new house.
