Hi Everyone. Happy Monday Night!
It might be Monday, but today has felt more like Friday 13th! However, I do have a card for you to view tonight. This is from the Stampin Up The More the Merrier hostess level 3 set. I don't own this set – —yet :-), so I borrowed it from my great SU upline – thanks, Brenda!
I used a few of the new in-colors and, once again, was drawn to the fall-type colors. It really has to be that time of year!
Card: A2 – horizontal
Card stock:
Dusty Durango – textured (I love the fact that the new in-colors come in textured orplain :-), More Mustard, Watercolor paper (jaydee tip: the watercolor paper is fabulous. I love the texture of it first of all, but secondly the fact that it really absorbs the water without buckling and allows layers of coloring – so that you get it just the way you like. Use StazOn for the image, as this is a quick drying ink and the coloring doesn't "spread" outside the lines.) I used an Aqua Painter for the birds, but then used a Blender Pen with the inks for the hearts. That way I could get into the nooks and crannies of the smallerspace.) Watercoloring is very relaxing, and is one of my favorite techniques.

On the personal front: As we are staining the concrete in the basement, I still cannot get to my toys, or any of my stamping supplies… including my cards. So I cannot give you the size of the paper. (Sigh). I'm having severe withdrawals here…… I also have some cards that I need to photograph, some challenges I really want to do…. oh well… I know it's going to be worth it in the end! Or so I keep telling myself! 🙂
