Hi Everyone
Happy Sunday Night! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.
Tonight's sketch uses Stampin Up's It's a Stretch. I've had a lot of fun playing with this set. I've made birthday cards, i love you cards and even bookmarks. It's really fabulous for bookmarks. Tonight's card is a birthday version. I'm going to be doing a Christmas version, too… why on earth is my mind on Christmas so much these days. I'm really looking forward to decorating the house and…..our first snowfall! The first snowfall is always so magical – I never get tired of that feeling.
Anyway… here's the sketch for tonight.
It's actually one of the first cards I made with the new in-colors. I think it's a happy card and I actually liked the Rich Razzleberry with just a little viewing of the Bermuda Bay. I inked the stamps using markers onto Very Vanilla. I love the Very Vanilla as it gives a soft coloring, which I feel compliments these strong colors. I used the Stem sayings for the sentiment. I think they work really well with the stretch. I used an Aqua Painter and some Bashful Blue ink to create the water in the vase. I inked the stem of the flower with Old Olive. I popped the "happy birthday" with stampin' dimensionals. I placed the flowers on the "happy birthday" panel to balance the flower on the upper left hand corner.
Card size: A2 vertical
Card stock: Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay (in color card stock 115315), Very Vanilla (101650)
Ink: In color markers (116329)… i'm thrilled with the new in-colors coming in markers. (Jaydee tip: the markers are exceptionally versatile and a great way to try the new in-colors. You can use them to ink the stamps, to color in, etc.)
Stamps: It's a Stretch (111586), Stem Sayings (115078)
Embellishments: Rich Razzleberry polka dot ribbon (love the polka dot ribbon, just in case you hadn't noticed :-)..) (115613), Flower Fusion (retired), Dazzling Diamonds (102023) and Fine Cosmo Stampin' Glitter (108796 – comes in a set of 5). Half Pearl from the Pretties Kit (109114)… i've had so much use of out this kit recently 🙂
On the personal front: I still haven't been able to get to my goodies as we are still doing the basement. Today was priming the concrete, etc. I certainly didn't need to go work out this weekend!!! I'm really feeling withdrawl symptoms from not being able to play, though. Especially as I have new stamps screaming my name … just begging to be used!
As always, thank you so much for stopping by and spending time in my little area of the stamping blogosphere.
Peace and Hugs
Jaydee
