Never Lose Hope for Paper Players #390

Hi Everyone.  Happy Sunday.

Where has this week gone?!!!  It's my turn to host the Paper Players challenge this week and I have a sketch for you.

I needed a support card and the Altenew Hope set was perfect.   I wanted to keep the background very clean and simple.  That way the focus would be on the sentiment and the focal image.

It was such an easy card to put together.  To add a little bit of shimmer and shine, I added some foil to the middle of the flower by covering the dots from the stamp with a glue pen, allowing it to almost dry, and then putting a piece of Heidi Swapp foil over the glue and burnishing with my bone folder.

here's my card:

Ppsketch (1 of 1)-6
I used some of the smaller stamps to decorate the inside

I hope you will join us and play along this week.  If you are looking for some inspiration, you have to look no further than the amazing designs from our design team.  they really did knock it out of the park this week!

On a personal note:

I am thrilled to report that the snow is FINALLY melting.  It's going to be 60 degrees here today!  I was in my craft room yesterday and I could hear the snow melting – what a welcome sound that was!

As I type up my blog post, I am watching two pairs of swallows fighting for dominance at one of the boxes we put out for them.  Now, they really don't need to fight over them, as we have 3 out for them and they are supposed to be just the right distance apart.  I can also hear the Cardinal calling and the Chickadees singing their spring mating song.   Ah!  Joy!  I think Spring really might be on her way!

We have a new pair of visitors at the feeder.   I couldn't get out onto the deck to take a photo as there was too much snow – so I had to capture them through the window.  They are welcome to visit anytime!

Canadian Geese (1 of 1)

I'll be back tomorrow with some cards.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift today.

Hugs

Jaydee

  3. Jaydee, I love your gorgeous blooms. You are quite the mistress of the bold, multi-step flowers! The colours are so vibrant too. I do so enjoy your photos.
