Just when you thought I had put this stamp set away, I produced yet ANOTHER card with it. Oh… and I have to warn you, I'm not quite finished yet 🙂
I saw this fabulous challenge across at Fusion
I loved the vintage feel and the message of hope. The sketch was an unusual one for me, so I decided that I would make a card based on botht he photo and the sketch.
I combined the Ornamental Pine branch stamp with the ornament. I hadn't used that before. I generally use the pine cone, but decided it was time for a change :-) I inked up the pine branch with Versamark and used the Ranger Verdigris embossing powder for the branch. I inked up the ornament and stamped it onto a piece of scrap DSP with Versamark and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I rubbed a little brown ink over the heat set image to give it a little more depth.
Here's my card:
I realized that I didn't have a sentiment with the word HOPE in it, so typed one up on my PC and printed it out onto Very Vanilla card stock, using Early Espresso ink for the sentiment. You can see that I used the stitched rectangles by Lil Inker to cut the DSP. I really do love that stitched edge. It frames the cards so nicely!

On a personal note:
In addition to the arrival of cards from both Colleen B and Gill for the Cards for a Cause 2014 card drive, I've also heard from Colleen T and Stef that their cards are on the way, too. This is fabulous. Don't forget we still have until the end of October to get all the cards in, so you still have time to join us!
I must tell you that the cards I have received so far are fabulous. I have enjoyed spending some quality time looking at each and every single one of them – more than once, I might add. Lots of great inspiration coming up for all of you. Of course, the people who will enjoy them more are the eventual recipients :-)
I really do have the most amazing blog friends. Really. I am so very blessed to have all of you.

I truly look forward to reading your blog posts — your cards are such an inspiration and the photos you share of the wildlife and native area surrounding your home are breathtaking and so very comforting. But most of all, I love that you always offer warm hugs and prayers for those of us needing a little lift… it is encouraging to know you’re being prayed for. I do appreciate that especially since I’ve been adrift for quite some time now. I know God has a perfect plan for me, but not having a clue of what that entails is beyond frustrating. Anyhow, thank you again for always praying for others — myself included.
