Polka Dot, Blingy Birthday.

Hi Everyone. Happy Monday.

Quick post for you tonight as I am running very late!

There's a great challenge across at CAS-UAL Fridays this week to celebrate their 100th challenge.

I love Tic-Tac-Toe challenges and had so much fun with this one that I made two cards.  I went right through the middle:  Polka Dots; Bling; Black and White

I used my PTI set – Star Gazer and paired it with some SU Silver Glimmer Paper (for the little stars) and some black and white polka dot paper that I had in my stash.

Here's my card

Casleo2 (1 of 1)

The Leo constellation stamp puts little stars in the design.  I cut out some silver glimmer stars with a die and added those over the black stars.  It looks really cool when you see it in real life and I love the idea of being able to personalize a card for the recipient's star sign!

On a personal note:

I saw a little flash of blue in our woodland today.  I knew it wasn't the blue jay, because the bird was too small.  Sure enough…. our little blue birds are back and are checking out the blue bird house that we put up at the edge of our wetland.   I hope they like it enough to stay!   We so enjoyed having them nest in our woodpecker box last year and watch the fledglings grow up!

Yesterday we had a low of 30 and a high of 58.    Tomorrow, we are heading for a low of 58 and a high of 92!   92!   It's crazy!  Why can't we just sit around in the 60s and 70s for a few days and at least make it feel as though it is spring!  I think the airconditioning might be put to good use tomorrow!

Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee

Lovely card. I am so loving the astrological trend lately.

  3. Tic Tac Toe cards ARE fun, and yours is SO elegant! :o) That is one tiny star punch you have, lady.
I know that weather story you’re telling. We were there when our spring finally arrived for the first time. Then, it got cool and has been wonderful. Of course, we’re about to pay for it with temps in the mid-80’s to low-90’s from here on out. :sigh: It WAS wonderful while it lasted…
    Hugs!
P.S. Hi Lou! Hope all is well. :o)

  4. I love Tic Tac Toe Challenges as well. You did a beautiful job with the card and I’m glad to hear that the bluebirds are back.

Might your little blue guys be buntings? Indigo or lazuli, perhaps??
