Rainbows….

Hi Everyone.  Happy Thursday.

Quick post for you tonight as I am running around trying to finish some things at work, but I did want to share another card I made for the clean and simple stamping on sunday challenge.

I used a stencil that came with the SSS March kit and some of my trusty SU markers to create the rainbow.  I added the rainbow to a Whisper White textured card stock layer that was mounted the card base base using double sided foam tape.    Simple, easy to do – and I think effective 🙂

Because of the sentiment, I'm dedicating it to you, all my fabulous, regular blog readers!  You really do bring rainbows into my world 🙂

I wanted to share a couple of photos with you.  Charlie was sitting on "his" chair in my office today.  You can see it's his chair because he's shedding so much fur!  Charlie might not be a young cat anymore, but he STILL plays with his tail.   In fact, it came to his attention that his tail was being a total miscreant and needed to be punished accordingly.

Here's photo one….. notice the angle of his head

Tail1

Ok… photo number 2….. tail centered, ears forward…. ready to pounce!

Tail2

photo 3…. SUCCESS…oh… and much hissing, I might add!

Tail3

Now, I really do need to go and take his hair of his chair 🙂

Then, I captured a photo of the very smart doves.  We have a heated bird bath on the deck.  We can't get to it to put water into it because of the depth of snow on the deck.  (Lou will clear it this weekend.)  However, the doves decided it makes a wonderful place to roost and stay warm!

Doves

Aren't they smart? 🙂

As always, thank you so much for your visit – and your comments.

  1. Such a perfect CAS card, Jaydee. It made me sigh with happiness, all that white space, and (raptures!) a *rainbow*. Ahhhhhhh. :o)
Charlie and Fred must be long lost brothers. Freddie delights in nothing so much as chasing and pouncing upon his tail whilst in our bed at 5 in.the.morning. Gr. It’s a good thing he’s cute…;o)
I love the doves. They too made me smile. :o)
    Hugs!
P.S. Good luck clearing all that snow, Lou. :oS

  2. Cath:
    Surely they are smart!!!
I am sure you would be happy in my garden . . . different color tulips are already blooming as well as daffodils and anemones . . . ohhhh!!! . . . and clivias!!!
I think Spring is already here and your “rainbow” contributes to it!!
    Much friendship.

  3. Love your rainbow card as well as the great sentiment. With St. Patrick’s Day coming up………how fitting.
Jaydee, you bring rainbows into our lives as well. Thank you. ‘Friends are like Rainbows… they add color to our lives!’
Thanks for sharing photos of Charlie and of course the cute doves as well.
Wishing you and Lou a great day and a wonderful weekend.

  4. What, you don’t have a covered porch for the birds? Our feeder is on an arm that can be swung around in bad weather so the birds can eat out of the elements on the porch. Our heated bath is on the railing and does get the snow and rain but the birds love it. Everything animal or bird that we have is spoiled rotten.
Love the pictures, Charlie is a joy to see. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Your card brings sunshine on a rainy day here in VA. I love the rainbow and how you positioned it on the card. The doves are precious. Any warm spot will do.

  6. Oh, Jaydee…you indeed bring rainbows of delight to your blog readers. Love that cat! Thanks for sharing your pictures. Ready for some spring-like weather? Me too!
