It's the fabulous Nance's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and she has a clean and simple with a twist challenge.
Oh… I had so many ideas going around in my head, but in the end settled on a masculine card because I had some washi tape perfect for a guy card 🙂
I love the Stampin' Up! Rev up the Fun set as it is perfect for guy cards, however, I have a friend at work who is moving to another company and I'm dying to use this set for her good luck card as she is mad about motorbikes. Anyway, here's the challenge badge:
As the washi tape was grey, I decided to go with a monochromatic color scheme. I used the washi tape to anchor the bike and stamped the bike and fussy cut around it.
Here's my take on the challenge:
I used the Lil Inker stitched dies to create the top two layers. I love the way they frame the card and help to continue the striped and hashed theme from the washi tape. After I photographed the card I realized that I could have used some black enamel accents on the bike to really push it up a notch. However, as I had already secured the bike to the card, I decided I would do that next time around for fear of dropping enamel accents on the card 🙂

On a personal note:
I think….. but saying it very quietly.. in a whisper…. I think the snow is melting and it's gone for the rest of the year…. I THINK! It's supposed to get to 71 tomorrow and, if that really is the case, we shall be outside FINALLY doing things outside. I can't wait!
The poor spring peepers have decided that they don't care if there is snow on the ground, they are going out to mate – regardless! Even when it was VERY cold the other night, with a foot of snow on the ground, we could hear a few tiny little peeps. Must have been one or two very hearty peepers, determined to get a girlfriend before the rest of the competition decided to brave the elements!
It's been a very busy day today, lots of driving around, but I am hoping to get into my stamping space tomorrow to show some love to my stamps and ink.

What a great use for the washi tape, Jaydee! I love how the motorcycle is popping a wheelie–it’s more fun that way. ;o)
Spring? Really? Oh I dearly hope so. It’s been such a long time coming, you deserve a really lovely spring. :o) It’s time for me to get out and enjoy the warm and get my gardens going. The temps have been up and down like a yo-yo, but I think we’re finally getting there. Hooray!
I think our peeprs are finally peeped out. I miss hearing them at night now that mating season appears to be over. It’s one of my favorite sounds of spring. And, your little guys? Amazing they would be out and about in such frigid temps!
Things have been a bit hectic here, but I think they *might* be settling down again–we’ll see…:oP
