Hi everyone.
Sorry I've been MIA. Life really is getting in the way right now and I am getting no time to spend in my craft room – or get to update my blog and it is really starting to get a little irritating…. :-) I think many of you will understand how that feels. Being able to craft and blog is really relaxing for me and allows me to switch off from work and connect with you all and I really miss it. I hope you will all forgive me!
I don't have a card for you tonight, but I do have a couple of photos that I wanted to share of what's been happening in our garden.
HOWEVER….. I will NOT…. show you yet ANOTHER snow photograph. Well, she can't 'cos it all melted, I can hear you say. NAH. AH. I respond. Over 12 inches…yes… that is over ONE FOOT of snow fell yesterday. It was the heavy, wet, sticky, stuff and I am sitting in my craft room doing this blog post looking out at a world that is completely and utterly white – and covered in snow. Sadly, the temps didn't rise enough to melt it today. I love snow… but…. winter just HAS to GO!!!!! 🙂
So… now that I have that off my chest. Let's take a look at a few things:
These guys have visited us several times over the past week… oh.. yeah… and look what you could see… green grass! Not anymore! Mmm…. getting the impression that I'm not impressed by the snowstorm yesterday 🙂
The Tom's have been very vocal early in the morning and it has been delightful to be woken up by them.
Then, a couple of days ago I yelled with delight when I saw this!
We had been really worried about Georgina. She's been underground since the end of October and she was out for the first time this past weekend. We were not sure that she would have managed to survive such a long winter, but she was scurry around, looking for seed, and looked surprisingly healthy. A lot slimmer than when we last saw her, but looking good anyway. She spent the weekend cleaning out her burrow and we watched with fascination as she took out all of the old leaf litter and collected new. She really is a wonderful little housekeeper. Needless to say, I haven't seen her the last two days. I know she's under the ground, warm and cozy, in her newly lined burrow!
We also met with our builder this week to make sure that he can extend the concrete under the patio for us to install the underdeck screening. He can… as soon as it gets to a consistent air temperature of 50!!!! grrrrr…. mmmm… am I still whining about the snow storm and the cold weather??? :-) But, we know that we should be getting to those temperatures in about the next month, so will be all systems go to get that done. So long as it is complete and ready for us to decorate by mid-June we should be OK. P&J and R&R will know why it's important that happens!
I know I keep saying this…. but I really do mean it…. thank you to all of you who visit. I really do love to read your comments. So many of you have been around for a long time, too…… that makes me doubly happy!

I feel your pain, Jaydee! We still have piles of snow around, but at least we didn’t get another foot of it. I can imagine your frustration. This is RIDICULOUS!
Lovely to see your wildlife back in action. I hope the temps warm up and all that horrid white stuff disappears FAST.
Oh…Jaydee…OH! I’m SO sorry. :o( I love snow. Snow is delightful–IN WINTER!!!!! No more snow.
CW was gorgeous yesterday with flowers abounding. I took tons of photos and hope to post them today at some point. It’s going to be a busy three days around these parts with church, Ellie’s birthday and Easter. Lissie was here from Tuesday to this morning, and we got some cards made–but nothing that knocked either of our socks off. :sigh: The mojo…it’s gone.
I’m so happy Georgina was in good shape. She’s such a cutie! :o)

My heart goes out to you Jaydee but hopefully you will get some sun and melt your snow in a short period of time so that you can do what all needs to be done.
