Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday night.
I really do hope you are all having a wonderful week. As for us… we are holding out and not making an excuse to go and visit the house. Well… truth be told! I'm finding every conceivable reason under the sun to make a visit – and Lou is holding out. It's killing me! Two weeks tonight and we make our initial move up to our new house and the kitties go into kennels for a few days. Two weeks! So much still to do on our current house, and still so much packing and fixing and sorting and stuff to do! In the meantime, the clock is ticking on the new house and things are happening. I REALLY can't wait to see it all together. The fact that we have to wait another 5-6 weeks after moving in to get the furniture… well, I suppose it stretches the excitement, right?
So… I have a new blog candy game to expose tonight – but also a winner to declare on the challenge that has been running for the last couple of days. Natalie was the first to guess it…. but Cam certainly worked it through like Miss Marple. She connected the dots and the clues that I had left about earth day and making contributions.

Now… I am guessing you would like a really good close up of this amazing recycled material. Yes… it really is MONEY!
Now, I think you can really recognize it. There is this amazing company, right here in Minnesota, called Shetkastone, that makes surfaces from all sorts of recycled paper – including money that is shredded when it is taken out of circulation from the banks. Isn't that awesome. Not only that… but the worktop itself is recyclable. Once it has done its time and is ready for replacement, Shetkastone will come and take it from you and recycle it, yet again! You can check out this company at this link. Both Lou and I were amazed when we saw it. You really can read the numbers on the original notes. We decided to do just the bar top portion using this. The remaining tops on the bar are Corian. We thought just a small piece of it would certainly be a huge talking point. I had never thought about what they did with the money that was taken out of circulation! Well, now you know!
Thank you to all of you for your support and your comments – and for playing along. You have REALLY made the last few days fun for Lou and I. I can't tell you what a wonderful diversion it has been! It really warms my heart.

WELL….. Mmmmm… let's try this. Y'all know that we are getting new furniture, right. So… I think the next blog candy will be based around that.
First person who can tell me what color our dinette chairs is will win a brand new set of Nestabilities Large Labels dies. If the winner does not have a Big Shot, then we can work out a stamp set or something else instead. As per usual, I will choose a couple of winners from the rest of the comments for an SU reusable shopping bag, or something else!
Now, to make it easier….. the color of our dinette chairs is actually one of the colors in the current 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 In Colors! That makes it easier, right?

Tangarine Tango seems to be a really in color right now. Not my favorite as a color but love it in Stampin Up as a choice.
I’m going to have to go with Calypso Coral! I love watching the details of your house unfold almost as much as I enjoy your card posts. Can’t wait to see the house furnished.

Hi Jaydee, hi Lou! Money…really? Wow, I never knew that was something recycled in countertops. Love when I learn something new! It is pretty with this other picture, showing more details. I can just imagine the conversations over that bar top!!
Now, my guess for your dining room chairs would have to be…Poppy Parade. I remembered your wall paint color and beautiful shell lighting. It was a hard choice between two colors to guess from so it will be neat to hear your answer.
Hope the rest of your packing goes well. I really feel for you and all this stress. Keep holding out and go with Lou at the reveal. It will be so exciting that way…even though it is so hard to not want a sneak peek!

Two weeks. Wow. It’s flown, hasn’t it? I don’t blame you for kenneling the furbabies. I was just chasing down Fred this morning because Ellie was walking in and out and in and out and he took advantage. Oy. The good news is he’s a kitty still in possession of all his claws. The bad news is he uses them to climb trees… On the bright side, he is a big fat chicken kitty when it’s all said and done and if he gets more than six feet up a tree he panics (you can see it in his eyes) and I was there to help him to safety (in the form of being indoors once more).
I can’t imagine having to wait 6-8 weeks for furniture, but there is something delightful about delayed gratification–we don’t have that much anymore, do we?
I can’t wait to find out what color those chairs are!

You are too kind Jaydee…hmm the color to your dinette chairs…using the hints again (maybe), could that be Rich Razzleberry or your favorite dsp colors, Early Expresso??? This is just a wild guess.
It’s always hectic when moving…and exciting. If I was close I would have offer to help with the move.
Wow, recycled money – that is interesting. Will have to keep that company in mind next time we do countertops.
The first colors that came to mind were rich razzleberry & early espresso, but looks like they were guessed already, so I’ll go with Baja Breeze.
I think they are Lucky Limeade.
