Hi there. Happy Friday.
I have a SU sneak peek for you tonight featuring my favorite embossing folder – Tasteful Textile and a new stamp set called Forever Fern. I then added a sentiment from lovely You. I made this card inspired by the sketch across at FreshlyMade
I decided to go with a very monochromatic color scheme of grey/green and white. I stamped two of the leaf images from Forever Fern with grey/green inks and die-cut them with the matching dies. I then took a piece of card stock that I have had in my stash for so long and embossed it with Tasteful Textile. I really love the level of texture from this embossing folder. As for my card, I wanted something really soft and serene and added just a little glimmer and shine.
Here's a closeup look at it:
I added some shimmer and shine to the leaves with my Wink of Stella pen:
I die-cut two layers for my sentiment using my Stitched so Sweetly dies. I popped them to add a little dimension and give the leaves room to float. Here's my card:
I'll be back later with my Addicted to CAS card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

I see why you love the EB – it gives a lovely subtle texture and doesn’t overpower the card – the glittery leaves look gorgeous!

Thanks, Claire. I really do love this embossing folder and you are right, it’s subtle enough to give texture, but not to overwhelm.
