Sneak Peek: Ornamental Pine day 2

Hi Everyone.  Happy Wednesday.

I have another card made with the fabulous Ornamental Pine and today's card is a very different color scheme to the one in last night's post.

I am in love with SU's Soft Sky color.  It's such a beautiful soft blue – so much better, in my eyes – than Bashful Blue. 🙂  I really wanted to play around with this set and use blue and white.  Soft Sky was the only blue that I reached for.

I also wanted to play around with the placement of the pine and to mix it with the new snowflakes that are also available in the new holiday mini.

I combined the Soft Sky with some white embossing powder and some Shimmer White card stock.

Here's my card:

Pine white on sky (1 of 1)

I felt that this color scheme needed a touch of grey and added some basic rhinestones on top of the snowflakes just to make them pop a little.

I do love the softness of the blue and white and am really loving this set.  The sentiment is the one that comes with the set and I really love the font.

Tonight's card is very different to the one last night and I hope you have enjoyed the first two cards made with this set.   I have another card made from this set for tomorrow night's post, so I hope you will come back again tomorrow.

As always, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.  Continued special hugs for Jeanne.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. What an elegant card!!!! . . . as you say it . . . so soft!!
I think I will get into the embossed powder . . . since I will be travelling to the US . . . should I just ask for “embossing powder” . . . I will be back on time to make some Xmas cards for the Catholic Relief store and this would be an innovation . . . please, also the exact name of the pine stamp so my sister can order it for me.
    Snowflakes of thanks!!!

  2. Absolutely Stunning card. Si8mple, yet Very Elegant and I also like the softness of your card.
That Ornamental Pine stamp set is such a great and useful set. A person can really mass produce cards just using that set alone. ( I feel my wish list getting longer)
Have a wonderful and enjoyable day and evening.

  3. “Oooooooo” was what I said! It’s gorgeous, Jaydee. As others have said, so simple, yet so elegant. Your choice of colours is perfect, and yes, I like the touch of grey.

  4. Your card gives me a soothing feeling! Beautiful and elegant. Thank you for sharing.

  5. Stunning Jaydee! The soft blue and sparkle from the snowflakes are a perfect match. Love it!!
