I'm late posting the 3rd card I made with this fabulous new set because I worked yesterday from 6.30am to nearly 10pm!
I did want to share card number 3 made with this very versatile set.
I think you have probably guess by now that I am in love with this new verdigris embossing powder from Ranger and I really love the variation in color it creates.
Why I like this version of the card.
I love the gold pine cone matching the gold sentiment matching the gold mat and picking up the gold in the embossing powder.
I like the fact that the mat is only on the sides and not on the bottom. I also like that the white base ties to the white top layer. I know you can't see it, but the white layer is actually Shimmer White card stock and it's really pretty.
I haven't quite finished showing you examples with this set. I still have a couple more to share. Not bad for a set that I almost didn't buy 🙂
Marina... you asked about the embossing powder. Embossing Powder is freely available but you also need to have ink that will take the embossing powder – I generally use Versamark. In this case, I used the metallic gold ink because it gives a nice gold color and enhances the gold embossing powder, to give a really rich gold. However, you also need a heat gun. That's the most important thing. I'm not sure what the electrical units are that you use and whether or not a heat gun would be freely available where you live. A heat gun is very different to a hairdryer as it is much hotter and you need that for the embossing powder. If you can get a heat gun and want to try out embossing, I did a video a few years ago on embossing 101 you can get the video HERE.

Thanks so much! I have taken note of your advice. I watched the video on using embossing poweder and I watched also the one on “How to make roses” and “How to make a perfect bow” . . . I am sure you will let us know when you prepare another video on bows.
Thanks again . . . I enjoyed them very much and I think I will be looking for the material and tools for hot embossing. Do you know if Stamping Up will have good “offers” for Black Friday? I am always looking for texts and sentiments . . . I have found some in french sites.

How did you get the green pine needles to look so glimmery? I did not see emobssing powder listed for it so I was not sure if there was something else that was done to it? It is gorgeous!

That green embossing powder is delightful! And I love the gold matte behind the focal panel. This is a wonderful stamp set and now I’m going to have to add it to my wish list…;o)

Hi Jaydee! Such a gorgeous card you’ve made here and the first I’m seeing using this set! I love it and this one would be my Christmas card I’d send out…it’s just beautiful!
