Hi Everyone.
I know. I know. I know. 🙂 I know you are all bored with Ornamental Pine… but… I'm just not quite finished showing you how great this set is yet 🙂 Considering that it wasn't on my list of must have… or even maybe have… it's astonshing how much in love I am with this set 🙂
I used multiple techniques on this card…. lots of sponging as you can see, but also embossing of the sentiment – and of the silver mat. @jenmcguireink has, on a couple of occasions, shown the technique of taking a piece of white card stock and covering it with versamark and embossing powder on th edges. It's a great way to create a metallic card stock, but, for me, it goes a little "bubbly" and doesn't quite work. However, unless you look closely, I doubt that you would even notice it 🙂
I stamped the Ornamental Pine in versamark and covered it with with embossing powder. Once it was heat set, I sponged Mossy Meadow ink around it and Soft Sky over the rest of the Whisper White layer. To finish it off, I mixed some Perfect Pearls with water and spritzed that over the finished focal layer, just to give a little "snow" effect.
All that was left….. emboss the sentiment onto two different pieces of Shimmery White card stock and heat set some silver embossing powder to match the mat – and the pine cone. Adhere to the focal layer, add a couple of fabulous white snowflakes, with Basic Rhinestone centers – and then glue the whole thing down.
Oh… did I say that the rest of the white card stock was Shimmery White? Perfect with the color scheme – and the silver layers, I think 🙂
I really do hope that these cards have shown you how fabulously veratile this set is. I really do like the softness of the Soft Sky sponged backgrouned with the more intense Mossy Medow around the white embossed pinecone. 🙂

You just keep those pines coming. Not bored at all, but intrigued by all the different results you’d achieved with that stamp. Love this one.
Actually, I appreciate all the different cards you’ve made with one set, proves to me that I don ‘t have to buy multiple Christmas sets even if I don’t want to send the same card to everyone. Beautiful!
