Hi Everyone. Happy Tuesday.
Once again, I find that its gone 10.30pm and I am only just getting to my blog. It must be the time of year! There is so much to do and so much going on, that I'm finding it difficult to fit everything in. I bet most of you are all in the same situation.
So, I'm going to keep the post short tonight. This card was made using more new goodies. The stamp is from the new Peaceful Petals stamp set and, of course, I had to use the dots embossing folder again. I just couldn't get a decent photo of it though!
The flower was inked in pale pink ink and stamped twice. I then used my Copic Markers to color the images. As the stamp wasn't inked in a dark ink, it looks more hand drawn. It's actually really pretty and I love it against the Soft Sky card stock.
This technique takes a little more time to color, because it's hard to see the pale pink stamped image, but I really think it is worth it to create this hand painted feel. I had to put it onto an Oval… it just seemed right 🙂
I used a Simon Says Stamp banner die for the sentiment and glued it to the base, but used dimensionals to keep the lift on the folded pieces of the banner. I like the bold sentiment against the soft background.
On a personal note:
We had more snow today. It really is so gorgeous and the wetland looks amazing. The birds continue to use the heated bird bath on the deck. I had never known that the woodpeckers drink so often until we put the bath here. The doves also love it and bath at least once a day. The cats are loving having the bird bath and they lounge about on the back of the couch, or can be found crouching in front of the deck door with their ears flat and tails wagging. I think they enjoy it even more than we do!
As always, thank you for your visit and your comments/emails. I really do appreciate them. I'll be back on Thursday with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight. Especially at this time of year.
Hugs
Jaydee

This is so soft and dreamy, Jaydee. The colors are again so spring-y and delightful after all the blues, greens and reds of the holidays. :o) Oh, and I really like that banner die as well!
A heated bird bath? I think we might need one…or not since it’s going to be 74 Sunday! Yikes!
As it is, the boys (and dogs!) are quite attentive at the windows and backdoor most days what with the squirrels and birds. :o)
Hugs!
P.S. Hi Lou!
Ooooh this is so, so pretty Jaydee! Of course you have made me see why I need the one stamp set I did not order! How beautifully you’ve colored the blossoms!
Oh my, stunningly beautiful!
Glad you’re able to enjoy the snow. For me, it’s a 4 letter word!
What a gorgeous card!!!
Hi Jaydee! This is a beautiful card. So fresh and happy! I guess all this snow makes me long for our flowers back in bloom. ; ) Sorry to have been absent lately, much to do just like you said. The countdown is on! I bet your cats just love the entertainment with the birdbath! I need to peek back at your past posts to see your other creations. I love to see what is coming in January! I hope you get a few quiet minutes to reflect on this beautiful season.
Oh, how pretty. Rach took the words right out of my mouth when she said soft and dreamy. That was my first thought when I first seen your card.
Have a wonderful weekend.

need rocks in our pockets here to keep the wind from blowing you away :}
I so enjoy hearing about how much pleasure you derive from the nature around you…reminds me of so many times I’ve felt that way but probably hadn’t acknowledged out loud. The pictures of your environs remind me of our location in Waukesha, WI many years ago…wonderful times and a beautiful wooded spot with just the right amount of space for our home. Oh, yes, your card is beautiful and the manner of displaying the sentiment is something I hope to keep in mind for future use. TFS
Wow, I love the way you’ve colored the flowers! And these colors remind me of the sunset tonight! Very special!
This can’t be stamped, it’s more of hand drawn. It is so beautiful and I would love to see the process how you color this image. You are so inspiring to us all.
Beautiful card! I love how you mix supplies. 🙂
Wow … gorgeous card Jaydee! Love the softness of this image with your technique. It definitely looks like a watercolor painting to me. Must give this a try! Loll xx
