Hi Everyone. Happy Thursday night. I, for one, am so glad that it is Thursday and that we are almost at the weekend.
I'm stopping in to share another CASEd card with you. Marina… a CASEd card is a card that you have recreated based on someone else's work. In this case, it is the work of the very talented Kristina Werner. You can see Kristina's original card here. I CASED this card because I had the snoflake edging die that I had never used and realized this was a great way to get it out and show it a little love. What I realized after I copied it though…… Kristina's snowflakes are so much "airier" than the ones that I have, and they picked up on the whimsical feel of the snowflakes from the die cut. I still like the card, although I do prefer her snowflakes.
I do love the sentiment on my card though! The gradation at the bottom of the card comes from blending ink on the bottom of the card and fading it to white. It's such a great trick and really helps the die to pop off the bottom of the page.

I know you can't tell, but the die cut layer has lots of wonderful sparkle courtesy of some Heat and Stick powder and some distress glitter. It really is a pretty card, but I think I might have to get those airy snowflakes 🙂
I'm off back to finish some things at the office. It really has been a very long week this week and am so looking forward to next Tuesday when I get to close down my PC and take a week off work! Maybe then, I can get back into some serious card making – that isn't CASEd cards 🙂
