Peace on Earth

Hi Everyone.  Happy Tuesday.

Tonight is going to be an even shorter blog post than last night.  I have at least another 6 hours work to do, but I wanted to take a short break and put up a card for you.

This is another card that I CASEd as part of my "get my mojo back" campaign.   I CASEd this card from the fabulous Jennifer McGuire.

It uses the same Tim Holtz kit as las night's card.   I used watercolor paper and put three different colors of ink on the paper, stamped snowflakes and flicked Perfect Pearls mixed with water onto the card to create a snowfall effect.  Jennifer actually has a great video on how she did this on her blog.  So, you can see a great trick on extending the trees from a short stamp to a much longer stamp  It's such a great card, I couldn't help but CASE it.  A good thing about CASEing like this, is that it forces me to do techniques differently – or reminds me of techniques I had forgotten about.   It's also a great way to feel accomplishment from actually completing a card, instead of sitting with a blank sheet of paper not knowing what I'm going to do with it!

Peace on earth

It's such a pretty card in hand with the different shades, the embossing and the pearlization.  I think I'm going to be replicating this card for my private Christmas cards.

Now… just in case you hadn't heard…… SU is having a big sale.  It starts tomorrow and there are so AWESOME deals for you.  Before to check in with your demo tomorrow, and check the SU site.  This ONLINE EXTRAVAGANZA runs from tomorrow Wednesday 20 thru December 2.  Be sure to check it out.

Also, if, like me, you were waiting to order the fabulous Photopolymer set – Endless Wishes…. It's unavailable.  SU sold out far faster than they anticipated.  However, they will be offering up the MDS version in next week's batch of MDS downloads.  So I will definitely be downloading that!

As always.. thank you so much for your comments and visits.  In this crazy work world in which I live, reading your comments every day brings a little bit of sanity to my day!  I'll try to get back with a card tomorrow night.  In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hug

Jaydee

  1. Hi Jaydee!!
Woooooowwwwwwww you are busy!!!! but still you find the time to be with us through a card.
You explained to me what CAS meant, but what does it mean that you “CASed” a card? Does it mean that you modified it?
I will be travelling to Paris pretty soon . . . I will see if I find some sentiments like yours in French.
    Thanks for your time.

  2. Oh!!! I LOVE that snowfall effect!! :o) The mojo’s returning–I can feel it! :o)
I’m SO happy I purchased Endless Wishes the moment I could. I got one for me and one for Lissie. I figured it was going to go fast!
I finally finished my Angel Gabriel ornament last night–it took TWO DAYS. UGH! I was using metallic embroidery floss, and that stuff is an utter bear to work with. Back to plain floss so I can get these babies knocked out. ;o)
    Hugs!
    P.S. Hi Lou! :o)

  3. Gorgeous cad Jaydee.
Love the tall trees and your snowflake specks.
I agree with Bonnie; it’s so serene and peaceful looking
    Enjoy your evening.
