Hi Everyone.
Happy Sunday. Few things for you tonight.
The snow came down hard yesterday. We set the record for a one day snowfall in December. We beat the old one by 10 inches! On our side of town we had 15". Lou is very thankful that I made him by a snowblower last year! It is gorgeous outside… I mean … really gorgeous. BUT… the windchills have us down near minus 30. Many people were digging themselves out this morning – literally, when I went to drop Lou off to catch his flight. I have some great shots for you – but had trouble uploading them tonight, so will share them tomorrow instead.
I did get to spend some time in my stamp space – as you can imagine! I had seen the fabulous inspiration challenge across at Pals Paper Arts – and the case card across at casestudychallenge….mmm….. I finally had an idea for both challenges. Must have been all that snow I was looking at today.
Here are the two inspiration shots:
On the left you can see the fabulous pics for the PPA challenge – use winter whites and the card that was the one we were to case for the case study challenge. You can blow up both pics to have a really good look at them.
Here's what I came up with:
I am having a little trouble with the pic – but hopefully you can see the inspiration from both photos.
Card recipe – all ingredients SU unless otherwise noted:
- Card stock: Shimmer White, Metallic Silver
- Stamp: Contempo Christmas (sentiment)
- Accessories: Big Felt Flurry snowflake. Silver snowflake cut from the Northern Frost decorative strip. Rhinestone bling, Whisper White Organza ribbon. Gold ribbon (non SU)
- Tools: Big Shot, Versamark, silver embossing powder, stampin dimensionals
- note: the big felt flurry snowflake is available on clearance at SU at this link
NOW….. TO THE VIDEO SAGA…
I know many of you – mostly those of you who don't use an Apple for your computing, have had some problems viewing my video. I did some analysis and found that the problem (I think) is with the mobile me interface (where my videos are stored) and your internet browser. I ran into issues with certain versions of Mozilla and Internet Explorer.
I decided to try putting the video out on Vimeo to see whether you could access it or not. I tried it with Mozilla, IE and Safari and it works with all of them. Or at least the versions I have. This was a huge step forward from where I was.
PLEASE… If you had trouble viewing my video, click the pic and link below and let me know if this one works for you. I chose the last one that I did and converted that. If this works for you, then I will work on converting the others. If you view it, please could you leave me a comment letting me know that it worked… hopefully !!! for your!
Tomorrow, I will have pics of the snow storm for you and details of the blog candy running for the whole week. So, please come back tomorrow.
Prayers tonight for: Adelle, Lesley, Rach, Germaine, Arthur, Rose, Soozie, Pri.
I hope you all have a wonderful Monday. Filled with love, laughter and the things that make you happy
Hugs
Jaydee

The card is beautiful. I have admired this combination on other blogs but I must admit that yours is the best!
I love the big snowflake. Did you buy it or punch it? It really makes the card.
Your video worked just fine but then I am using an Apple. I like the new look of your blog. It is very easy to read!

Hi Jaydee! Your card is beautiful! I was one of those who have NOT gotten to watch any of your videos due to problems! However, I did get to watch this one all the way through! YIPPEE!!! Thank you for going the extra mile trying to fix the problem for us! I truly appreciate it!
Your card is beautiful, love the elegant colors combo. I watched your tutorial and it is the 1st time I was able to watch one perfectly, thank you!
Yay! I finally got to see one of your videos! Thanks! 🙂 Love seeing what you make and that you share your life and faith too.
This was the first video I was able to watch. Nice work, not only on the video, but on the technical expertise to diagnose and fix the problem!
You nailed them both! What a beautiful card! :o)
I’m INSANELY jealous of your snow–it’s falling right now, but as it’s 37 out there, and since it was 55 yesterday, the chance of it sticking around are nil. :sigh:
I’m so happy everyone else is able to view your videos now. :o)
Hugs to all!
Adelle, the big snowflake is available as part of the Felt Flurry pack on the clearance rack. Here’s the link in case anyone else was wondering where they came from http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=113698
I’ll update the post, too!
hugs
