Happy Tuesday.
The talented team across at Just Us Girls have a fun theme for us this week. The minute I saw the word of the week I immediately thought music. Then thought sports. Then that strange little mischevious little gremlin that lives in my brain said – no…. lets go play in the snow! So, I did. Figuratively that is 🙂
I brought out a die set that I bought on sale last year from Spellbinders called Winter Welcome Sled. I love the images it conjours up of sledding and the sheer joy of playing out in the snow. The addition of the skates in this die set remind me of the days when I used to go ice skating. I remember the exhileration when I was finally able to get away from the side and glide across the ice. So, it’s a really cool die set!
Here’s a sneak peek of my card:

I just love those little skates!
Here’s the word of the week from JUGS:
I began by die-cutting the elements from the set and assembling them. I then used a Waffleflower die to create the snowflake background. I added that panel to a 110# card base as I needed the strength to make it stand up as a shaped card. My Spellbinders Essential Arches were used to create the card base as I felt that the shape of the sled would look really good on something with softer edges.
It took me a little while to find just the right sentiment, but I thought this one from Waffleflower worked really well with the image – and with the theme.
Here’s my full card:

Isn’t that a cool set? I’m also obsessed with this sentiment set, too! I know the talented team at JUGS would love it if you PLAYed along – see what I did there?! 🙂 As for me, I’ll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
