The Greetery Cozy Cup for Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #745

Happy Wednesday.

I got to play with the new sketch across at Freshly Made today. The square shaped inspired me to bring out a very old, very well loved, favorite stamp and die set from The Greetery. This set will remain one of my all time favorites and manages to avoid the “recycle” pile every time I purge my goodies. Which happens to be about twice a year! So, you have to know how many times this has escaped the pile!

Here’s a sneak peek:

Once again I pulled out my woodgrain cardstock from Altenew. Honestly, you’d think this had been tucked away in my stash and forgotten about. I mean, I have used it twice this week! The truth is that I hoard this cardstock. I love the weight of it, and I love the deep impression of it.

Oh, here’s Jen T’s sketch from Freshly Made:

It’s so rare that I make square cards that I was excited to create one! I made my square 5×5 as I thought that was the right ratio for the die-cut placemat from the Cozy Cup set.

I stamped and die-cut all of the elements and arranged them. I popped up the cup from the mat with 4 pieces die cut from spare card stock. I also popped up the mat with some spare card stock. The sentiment was popped up with foam strips.

Here’s my full card:

With the winter and fall themed cards I’m creating these days, you’d think I was hankering for some cooler weather!

I’ll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Card recipe:

  • Stamps and dies: Cozy Cup – The Greetery
  • Woodgrain card stock: – Altenew
  • Patterned Paper: Abstract Beauty – Stampin’ Up!

Hugs
