Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday.
It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our PaperPlayers challenge and she has a theme challenge for us – one that happens to be right up my alley…. 🙂

I had all sorts of ideas running around in my head, but whilst Lou and I were out and about this morning running errands, I was thinking about the card and decided to use three tags stamped together to form a triptych.
As the weather is slightly warmer today, and the sun was shining, I decided I would go with a bold card and use Crushed Curry as my card base. I know I seem to have used that a lot recently, but it really is such a fabulous yellow – much nicer than Daffodil Delight to my eye.
I've seen so many great cards made with Summer Silhouette since it came out, but have avoided buying it. I had to order some card stock last week, so added this set to my order and decided it was the set I would use for today's card.
Here's my take on the challenge:
I added some black liquid enamel to the centers of the yellow flowers to mimic the rudbekia we had in such profusion in the garden last year. In case you had forgotten how amazing that sight was, check out this photo from last year. We are REALLY hoping the show is as magnificent this year!
I think looking at that photograph you can see where my color inspiration came from for the card this week. :-)
As usual, the design team have created some fabulous cards for your inspiration. Please visit their blogs and leave a little blog love, then pop along to The Paper Players and play along with us.
On a personal note:
I did get a little chance to play in my craft room today, but only for as long as it took me to make the card for today. I'm really hoping to get the chance to play tomorrow, but right now need to go and do some housecleaning. I really wish I could wiggle my nose and it would all magically get done and the house would be sparkling and clean and there would be no water spots on the glass shower door and the windows would be wonderfully clean :-) Alas, I have never managed to perfect that trick, so have to do things the old fashioned way 🙂
Rumor has it that the temperature is going to reach 70 degrees on Wednesday. 70… yes, that would be 70 … degrees. Oh, my! I can't wait :-) Right now I'm grateful that it is slightly above 40 and some of the snow is melting!
I'll be back tomorrow with another card. In the meantime warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee

Hi Jaydee, I have the perfect solution to doing windows. Just email me and I’ll send you the particulars. By thed way, love the card today again.
Beautiful, bright and cheerful summer card. The Summer Silhouette set really matches up nicely with your gorgeous picture.
Enjoy the remainder of the weekend and wishing you the best for the upcoming week.
I absolutely adore Summer Silhouettes and have used the heck out of it. It’s probably one of the most versatile stamp sets I’ve ever owned. :o) I’m so glad you jumped on the wagon. ;o) You made a bright, cheerful card with it. I love your attention to details with the black enamel and the candy dots at the top of your tags.
70? Really?? Hooray! You’re going to have spring too! ;o)
Hugs!
P.S. Hi Lou!
Love this card Jaydee. I too have resisted buying that stamp set as I have so many flower sets. But I love this. The lay out is perfect and love the colors also.
Jaydee:
How can three tags make such a beautiful card? . . . I have the answer . . . . Jaydee put them together!!
Much love!
Marina . . . from far Africa.
Now I would have thought that this set would have been high on your wishlist, Jaydee, since you love all things flowery and nature! You used it well here, with your trio of tags! I love the springy feel to it!
Beautiful, bright, and cheery! The 3 tags are something I wouldn’t have thought of Jaydee and the end result is stunning! You always get me thinking and stretch my comfort zone, help me grow, and for that I thank you. ; ) I do love this stamp set and always think about it being light and airy. I look forward to seeing your future creations.
70 will feel so wonderful! Open your windows and let the fresh air inside! I just hope with the mountain of snow you had in your driveway that it doesn’t turn into a pond.
What a great take on the Three Spree challenge, Jaydee! I absolutely love your three tags and all the beautiful blossoms. I’m wishing some warm weather your way soon, too! Hugs!
This is just fabulous Jaydee! I love the triptych look and how each one is just slightly different–exactly how they would grow in the wild. The black enamel centers are the perfect pop! Great card, my friend!
Your inspiration photo is gorgeous and I love the finished card! The extra detail on the flowers really adds that extra touch. I have always thought this stamp set was so fun. Sounds like spring is definitely headed you way! Enjoy the beautiful weather, my friend! Hugs! 🙂
