Happy Thursday and welcome to another Time Out Challenge.
This week we are generously sponsored by Top Flight Stamps who are generously offering a $25 store credit to the winner of our challenge.
Talking of winners, our guest designer this week is talented Gundi of Papierelle. I hope you will pop along and show her some blog love.
For our challenge this week we are asking you to showcase your favorite card making technique. This was an easy one for me. Color blending die-cut images is something I absolutely love to do. I used to use colored cardstock or my Copics, but the last couple of years I have color blended with inks and brushes and much prefer the look. Especially when you used specialized paper.
Here’s a sneak peek:

And here is our challenge badge:

I began my card with the focal image. I die-cut the floral elements from Spellbinders speciality paper designed especially for florals. I love the texture of it. It really blends color beautifully and allows you to manipulate the petals without breaking down the fibres. Once the elements were die-cut, I blended them with a mixture of oranges, yellows, greens and blues.
I then focused on the background. I took a piece of Spellbinders card stock and ran it through my new Christmas present, my Sizzix Switch! I used the Spellbinders Leafy 3D embossing folder. Another embossing folder I absolutely love!
I needed a landing place for my tulips, so I die-cut frames from silver cardstock using the Altenew Fine Frames dies. All that was left to do was to add a sentiment. I brought out an old MFT set called Mini Messages for that.
Here’s my full card:
My Favorite Card Making Technique: Ink Blending

I just love those oranges and yellows against that blue background! Now it’s over to you. We would love to see what YOU create using YOUR favorite card making technique.
As a reminder, we have a $25 store credit from our generous sponsor Top Flight Stamps for the winner.

I’ll be back later in the week. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
