Happy Thursday.
I am absolutely thrilled to be Guest Designing across at Just Us Girls for the month of September. So, I get to join the very talented team at JUGS for the next 4 weeks! This week is die-week and it’s anything goes die-week. I was inspired to use the Snow Globe dies from Spellbinders and the Woodland scene dies. All of them are part of the Simon Hurley designs for Spellbinders.

I just love these dies. I couldn’t resist them when they were part of a BOGO sale at Spellbinders!

I began by die-cutting all of the pieces for the snowglobe from Neenah Solar White 11# cardstock. The deer, the outside of the fir tree and the moon were all cut with colored cardstock. I added ink and blending where needed, especially for the background.
I die-cut the snowmounds from Spellbinders glitter cardstock and adhered a piece of acetate over the top of the scene. The base of the snowglobe was die-cut using some old Stampin’ Up! Silver metallic cardstock and the sentiment was die-cut from Spellbinders Indigo card stock.
I used some existing DSP that I had for the card base with the pretty little snowflakes on as I thought it was the perfect backdrop.

Isn’t it such a great set? I love it. I also love that the inside of the snow globe can be personalized – and it can also be used as a shaker!

Beautiful scene! I do love this die set, I bought quite a few on sale and have yet to use them BUT… you’ve inspired me to start.
