Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday night.
It's my pleasure to host the Paper Players challenge this week and it's a sketch challenge.

Of course, you know that I had to use my favorite set Wetlands. It seems to becoming a favorite for several of you, too. Congrats to those of you who have let me know that you have recently purchased this set because of the fabulous cards you have seen made with this set! :-) It's strange that I only had two swaps at Convention using this set. I really thought more people would have used it for swaps. However, both cards that I received are fabulous. I mean, how can anyone not produce a great card with this set 🙂
Here's my card:
I really needed some sort of texture behind the Canadian Goose and realized that the chevron/wood background from the Truly Grateful set would be perfect. I like the angular feel it gives as an offset to the polka dot background. I repeated the circular elements in the polka dot paper, the circle of the focal image and the button. I used Linen thread to tie the button to the sentiment layer.
Tip: want to ensure that your button is secured to the card? Thread a needle with thread or Baker's Twine and use it to sew the button to the sentiment layer. Add a little Crystal Effects underneath – everything should stay in place!
The Paper Players design team have created some fabulous cards for your inspiration. Don't forget to check out their blogs:
Then, don't forget to pop along to the Paper Players and play along with us this week. I can't wait to see what you all do with the sketch!
As always, thank you for stopping by my little neck of the stamping woods. Your visits – and your comments – are greatly appreciated. I'll be back with another card on Monday as Lou and I are spending the weekend relaxing and taking some time to enjoy each other.
Warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.
Hugs
Jaydee
