The talented team across at As You See It have a fabulous color challenge. Interestingly enough they called it Jungle Colors and for some reason, my very odd mind, went to Christmas for this card!! 🙂
I decided to ink up and color a set called Merry Mail from Alex Syberia. It’s one I added to my expansive “postage” collection.
Here’s a sneak peek:
I love these little images from the set and colored them using the closest colors I could get to the SU version.
I stamped, colored and die-cut the images and then mounted them onto two layers of cardstock – one Cabana and one Lemon Lime Twist. The colors are usually way outside of my comfort zone, but I had such fun coloring this set and love the bright and cheerful end result.

Honestly, I am generally a “stick to the Christmas colors” kind of person, but I’ve noticed a trend over the last couple of years to go with the more modern versions. I think they are perfect for those that celebrate Christmas in warm weather, or those that celebrate Christmas during their summer time, and thould include team member Jan who celebrates from New Zealand!

I’m on a major post-holiday comment catch-up today Jaydee, so here goes! When I chose these colours, I absolutely had summer in mind, but I love a Christmas card in non-traditional colours and this one is just fab! The little postal stamps contain a great selection of festive images and the bird at the centre brings them together perfectly. Love it – thanks for playing at As You See It this week!
