Altenew World in Bloom for Paper Players Challenge #784

Happy Sunday.

It’s my turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it’s theme week. I chose to celebrate all of those feminine peeps in our lives. I mean, who doesn’t want an excuse to make a feminine card and share it! So, get out all of the goodies you consider feminine and put them to good use by playing along with our challenge:-)

I chose to make an interactive card using Altenew’s World in Bloom dies and the Stamp Market interactive Slider Card die to create my card. Oh I also used the Wanderlust embossing folder!

Here’s a sneak peek:

I also paired all of these things with some background map patterned paper that I got as a freebie from a Scrapbook.com order. I’ve been hoarding it for the right occasion and the colors of the paper, as well as the map, worked well for my card!

Here’s our challenge for this week:

This card too a little time to put together because of all the die-cut elements. I began with the flowers and colored them with Copic markers over colored cardstock. I die-cut the globe and assembled that. I then arranged the florals on the globe.

Next was the base. I die-cut the interactive layer from some Chiffon cardstock that I had run through my machine with the Wanderlust embossing folder.

The pull piece was cut from 110# Neenah cardstock.

Here’s the front of my card in the closed position:

Next, I had to work on the bits behind the easel.

Well, all it needed was a simple but meaningful sentiment. The last thing was to add a little pink heart which is placed somewhat close to where we live!

I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge. We really would love to see what YOU create. As always the design team have some fabulous inspiration:

I’ll be back later in the week with another card. In the meantime, warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Card recipe:

  • Interactive die: Slider – The Stamp Market
  • Embossing folder: Wanderlust – Altenew

  1. WOW! I am so in love with this card, Jaydee. How cool that it is interactive! The colors look beautiful together. The map paper works perfectly behind the globe. The World in Bloom dies are something I might “need”. It may have taken a bit of time to put everything together, but the FABULOUS result was well-worth it. Have a wonderful week!

  2. Wonderful and amazing! I love the interactive opening, the soft dreamy colors and even the sweet little heart’s placement. Jaydee, this is just perfect

  3. Well, I thought this card was outstanding, even when I didn’t realise that it was an interactive popup with a hidden message! The globe, wrapped in flowers and hearts, is a super focal point. I think the whole world could do with a few more hearts and flowers right now. Gorgeous, as always.

  4. This is such an amazing easel card, Jaydee! I love how it pops up to reveal the greeting, and your globe and flowers are so pretty. Lovely card all around. Thanks for a fun theme this week!

  5. Jaydee, this is soooo gorgeous! Feminine in every way. The color of the cardstock is so pretty. The embossed background is perfect for the fabulous globe. All the flowers and the fact this is an interactive card are spectacular. I love this theme challenge so much! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, My Friend!

  6. Jaydee this card is so pretty! I don’t think of globes as a feminine thing, but the soft pink and florals make this card undeniably so. The background texture is lovely too and the interactive element a fun additional feature. A gorgeous card for a great challenge this week!

  7. Creating a globe for a feminine card would not have been something that crossed my mind, but I love how you thought outside the box and made it work in spades! What a fabulous easel card and oh, so pretty with the flowers and the embossed pink background. I love the heart too. What a sweet and touching card. Thanks for the great challenge!
