Gorgeous Grunge meets Hello Lovely

Hi Everyone.  Happy Tuesday night.

I have some card eye candy for you tonight:  a card outside, inside and a matching envelope!  I claim no credit for the design of the card or the envelope – just the inside:-)

At convention, we got Gorgeous Grunge and Hello, Lovely as part of our welcome pack and there was a make and take designed around these two sets.   I think this card is fabulous and totally on trend, so was very happy to make it!  I changed a few things about it – including the color of the arrow.  I used Pool Party instead of Coastal Cabana and I changed out a couple of the grunge stamps, but essentially this is definitely the same card as designed by the concept designer at SU.  Now THAT is a job I would move to SLC for 🙂

Here's the outside of the card

Here's the envelope

Lastly, here's the inside!

I really enjoyed creating the card and it could easily be made masculine by removing the button and changing the colors to greens and blues or shades of greys or browns.  It's very versatile and I hope it shows you how great these two sets are together!   Of course, this card will be going to Operation Write Home!

On a personal note:

Going to be a long night at work tonight.  I started early this morning and will be here until close to midnight and then up early again in the morning.   So I will just say a huge thank you to Marina and Pamela who will also be joining us on the OWH card drive!    Way to go ladies.     Pamela, when you are ready, just send me an email and I will let you have the address to send the cards to.  Marina, I'll send you a separate email, but I think it is totally OK to do CAS cards:-)

Before I go – a quick look at our sugar pecker.  Seriously, if there was an avian equivalent to a dentist – he wouldn't approve :-)  Actually, they spend a lot of time eating the oranges as well as the insects that collect on the oranges.

This guy also LOVES the jelly.  he/she is definitely feeding young as he collects jelly in his beak and then rushes off.   yesterday evening, when I was taking photographs, he was calling his very distinctive catbird call!

I'll try and get back with another card for you tomorrow.  In the meantime, have a fabulous evening and warm hugs and prayers for those of you who need a little lift tonight.

Hugs

Jaydee
