Hi Everyone. Happy Thursday.
hope you are all having a great week so far. me? I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday and there is a weekend just around the corner!
I have a quick card for you tonight and a couple of photographs to share.
I'm pleased to tell you that Archimedes (our resident.. we hope!) barred owl has been around for 3 days now! I still get such a thrill when I look for him and find him sitting in a tree. Sadly, our feline visitor has not been around, so I cannot give you an update there. I'm still hopeful that he will come by again when he is hungry.
Our fresh snowfall has left the wetland and our woodland looking fabulous! It's such pristine, white snow. It's great to have such a good coverage of snow, because we can track the animals that have been visiting by their tracks. A couple of days ago, we saw a tiny mound of snow had been lifted for about 20 yards. The snow cover had not been broken, but something had obviously run underneath the snow. Some kind of mouse is our guess.
So. here's a photo from yesterday of Archimedes.
I also wanted to share a photograph of Charlie. Now, my regular readers that have been with me for a while will know that Charlie had been dumped in the middle of nowhere and was rescued by Lou when he rode past him sitting at an intersection like Dick Whittington's cat. He has become my constant companion and is never more than about 20 feet from me. He is as smart as a whip and has calmed down considerably and I have managed to get him over most of the behavioural problems that probably landed him in the middle of the corn field originally.
So, here's my card for tonight. When I attended the virtual online class, one of the techniques they used was full card front masking. I ran a sheet of 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" masking film through my big shot with a square spellbinders die. That left me a window in which to stamp. Now, it's a great technique, but for some reason, me and masking film are just not good friends! I do love the finished result when it works though! Word of warning….. if you are going to run your finished card through your bigshot to emboss the area around the focal point… remember to stamp the sentiment afterwards… not like me!
Oh…. I did want to share a link with you, too. I LOVE any snowflake dies, stamps, etc. So, I was thrilled when I saw this on the news today. Check out this awesome display of nature.
As always, thank you for visiting my little area of the stamping blogosphere. I do appreciate your visits and your comments. And Beverly, I have sent my address… I'll go check my sent mail and see what happened to the email!
Warm hugs and prayers to those of you who need a little lift tonight. I'll be back on Saturday with my Paper Players challenge card
Hugs
Jaydee

Beautiful card, cat and owl! Enjoy your weekend.
Jaydee, I was showing my husband all your pictures of your wetlands and the wild life that visit you. I explained to him that you take the pictures usually through a window and he wanted to know what type of camera you use. We have been thinking of getting a new one. As usual your card is wonderful and I do enjoy seeing Charlie. How is the other babies doing? Thanks Pam
lovely card and love that sentiment.
Once again; thanks for sharing your lovely photos with us.
Fabulous card! Isn’t so much of card making learning from your mistakes? I know it is for me, at least. ;o)
Oh, your lovely lovely owl. He’s so gorgeous, and a perfect name, btw!
Charlie!! Oh how good to see Charlie! I just love his mask. :o) I’m glad to hear he’s settled in so beautifully. I know he was a bit of a tough nut there in the beginning. :oP
Hugs!
P.S. Hiya Lou! :o)
You are so blessed by the abundant wildlife in your little part of the world. I love the owl. It is beautiful.
Hugs!

I was so thrilled to meet your barred owl. We’ve had 2 in our neighborhood for years. We still get excited everytime we see them. Love your cards and designs. Look forward to your e-mail every day.
What a great card-for many occasions. Are there any online sites that you get your stamps from? (Besides Stampin Up!) You have such a nice variety especially the sentiments.
Wow-those snowflakes are fabulous!
