It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

Hi Everyone.  Happy Monday.

I don't have a card for you tonight.  I managed to make 1 whole card this weekend!  So, I thought I would share some Christmassy photos with you.  I'm also going to introduce you to this new inhabitant in our household.  His name is Buzbee.  He arrived on our doorstep – I believe he is a relative of Fisbee.  You can find Fisbee and check out his antics on Rach's blog.  Rach put a request out for details of other sightings so that her girls could see that Fisbee was not alone :-)  So, in honor of Rach, Buzbee will make a quick appearance on my site for a few days.  Heaven's knows what he will get up to in our house!

Firstly, I wanted to show you a photo I took yesterday morning…. oh this makes me so happy.

and… a pic of our tree on our deck

Now… let me introduce you to Buzbee……  he's a cute little thing that's for sure.  But I swear – I cannot leave him alone for more than a few minutes before he gets into as much mischief as the cats

Here's Buzbee

I swear, I opened up the drawer to look for something and out he popped.  Under my candles.  How on earth did he get there?  Down the chimney do you think?  I think he was trying to pretend to be a candle or something.  I mean, he really fits in with the color scheme.  He gave me quite a turn when I opened the drawer. 🙂 But who could resist that smile?

Talking about mischief makers – let's check out this one

Papercat

Only I could have a cat who destroys paper.  Yep.. this cat HATES paper.  He destroys every piece of paper he can find.  Oh, yeah! and he also cleans my crafting table.  If I leave anything on it, anything at all, he comes along and cleans it all up and puts it on the floor.  I can honestly say that this is one tidy cat 🙂

I also wanted to share one last photo with you. This photograph was taken at the bottom of our garden.  We have a slope on the new property and when you get down to the level area you are in the wetland reserve.  I took this photo looking to the right and our property continues way after the sign that you can see in the right hand corner.  I LOVE it…. it really makes me happy.  The fact that it is natural, can never be built on and is a haven to the flora and fauna, and that we own just a tiny little piece of it… well, it just makes my heart sing.  The builder breaks ground on our new house next week.  We can't wait to go along the week before Christmas and check out the hole in the ground and see how the area looks in winter.  We are sooooooo excited.

Bottom of the garden

We feel so lucky and so thoroughly blessed.  We have worked long and hard for this, and saved for so long … and it's that waiting and saving that makes it feel even more rewarding.  Instant gratification would be great, but it wouldn't feel the same if we hadn't worked so hard for it.  So lucky.  So blessed and so happy 🙂

Oh… a quick shout out to Cherie tonight….. girl, I heard about your Asics.  Lou said he's furious that you didn't tell him because he wanted one, too!  You go, girl! 🙂

As always, thank you so much for visiting my blog.  Your visits really do mean a great deal to me.  I am sorry that I didn't have a card to share and it's probably going to be a couple more days before I get the chance to spend any time in my stamping space.

Warm hugs and prayers for all that need a little lift tonight.  I hope your Tuesday is filled with love and laughter.

Hugs

Jaydee

  1. Jaydee, thank you for sharing the gorgeous pictures of the snow! It is nice to get to see some as I miss it so much. I adore the mischief makers as well! We have a few of those too. 🙂

  2. I hear a lot of red-winged blackbirds in your future! What exciting times you’re going to have discovering a whole new set of flora and fauna. Us too, when you report your findings. Can’t wait!

  3. How wonderful that you’ll be breaking ground for your new home. I’m sure you’ll keep us informed on it. We are supposed to get snow this week. I really do not like cold weather. Even though it can be so beautiful.

  4. Lily thinks Buzbee is too cute and couldn’t believe he popped up out of the drawer! :o) And, she too is insanely jealous of your snow. She thinks it’s “bee-you-tee-full”. So, there ya go. :o) And, lest I forget, she’s also thinking Charlie is one cute cute kitty (you know how my girl is about kitties).
Your new property is something special. Isn’t it wonderful to work so hard for something and have it come to fruition? I think it makes it all the more wonderful when you have had to work hard to get it. I can’t wait to see the progress of your house being built, and then, all your wonderful wildlife. You, Lou and the kitties are going to be so blissfully happy there. I couldn’t be happier for you! :o)

  5. Love your pictures Jaydee! You have two really nice pieces of property! I’m so happy for you and Lou.

  6. I am trying to catch up here-I have had my daughter and her husband here from California. While they were here we did a baby shower for her-she is pregnant with our first grandbaby! So it is an exciting but busy time!
I love your snow! It will soon appear in Ohio too I imagine!
    Buzbee is so cute!

  7. Thanks for sharing such beautiful photos Jaydee, did I count correctly; 9 bird feeding stations in the back yard? No wonder you have all of the birds & wildlife. I really can’t wait to see what happens on the new property, especially with the wetlands behind. That Buzbee is too cute, my kiddles ohhed & ahhed over him, Charlie too 🙂
Well, now if I had know Lou was ready for such an adventure I would have called him in a heartbeat! I absolutely LOVE my artwork. I am sure Lou and the artist(a patron of the arts & wine lover) would get along quite well. BTW his studio is close to your new backyard 😉
Enjoy the snow and have a great day One & All.

  8. Your photos are beautiful. How can you leave your gorgeous back yard. Oh, I know, for that beautiful, tranquil peace of property that is yours and will be built on soon. So exciting. Thanks for sharing.
